This does sound like a nice scenario! Not having Fate on the Heroes sounds very deadly.

I do think, in hindsight, that you are right and the archers could be better used as foot soldiers. Perhaps mostly to stop the other foot soldiers and Heroes from being swarmed.

I am also wondering about the Lurtz captain. He got a wound because of Legolas surfing, then another by Haldir (which is prevented by Fate), followed by another from a bow elf and then a Rohan spearman. But shouldn't he be dead 1 Wound prior?

Anyway, nice report and cool pictures. Aesthetically this scenario looks fantastic with a cool mix of troop types.

Well-spotted on my error with over-wounding Lurtz. I think one of those shots was supposed to be reported against Uglúk, so I just have a transcription error somewhere.

For some reason I keep confusing those two names, even though they are very different models, poses, colors, and canonicity.

Glad to hear this was a fun scenario and it certainly doesn't get any more iconic than this! It is funny when you think about recreating this moment on the battlefield and really all you need is a bit of rubble and a wall and away you go. Its actually not all that easy to make an interesting battlefield on this one if you were so inclined. Regardless of that, its a shame the good side had such bad luck and I'm looking forward to seeing which scenario you play next!
