Hi, I have a small problem with the new army book in German language.

In this book Buhrdur's standard weapon is described as "Hacke". But in the German rules book there is no entry for "Hacke".

I suppose there were two different translators at work writing the both German editions, and each one selected another German word for the same English word.

Could someone please tell me the English word for Buhrdur's weapon which is used in the English army book?

(In the orc captain Profile there is also "Hacke" used as a possible weapon; "Schwert oder Hacke", meaning sword or "pick axe" maybe?)

Buhrdur's weapon is a pick in the English version. Also, the mighty "leo dict" german dictionary says that eine Hacke means a pick or axe among other things. Germans sure have a lot of works for pickaxe through.

Hi Wan Shi Tong, thank you for the answer and the Information.

Mainly the German word "Hacke" means a gardening tool, and it has no direct martial aspect. Perhaps as an improvised weapon for Hobbits. The English word "pick" sounds more dangerous. I will use this for Buhrdur's weapon from now on.

By the way, the orc captain's pick is indeed a variant of a war hammer, the type is called in German "Rabenschnabel" (Ravern beak), but never use the word "warhammer" in a ME SBG rule or army book!
