Much better on the cloak. Those extra highlights are making it pop nicely

Thanks guys!
I finally got around to taking pictures of my Easterling army! Some of them are my brother's, but the majority of it is mine. In total, there are 81 models in the force, and I haven't got around to calculating how many points it is, but I know it's a lot!
Overall, I am very happy with my army. The only 'problem' I have with it is that I painted most of my command early on in my painting career, so they don't look as good as they could, especially Amdur. However, one thing I really like about the army is how it shows how I've progressed over the years.

Haha, it definately takes time.
I've managed to get my hands on the dwarf captain and banner with the face-masks off of ebay recently, and have begun work on the captain. Honestly, this is one of my favorite GW sculpts, and I hope it turns out well.

I'm going for a slightly darker color scheme as I want a more epic look and feel, and hopefully it will make the armor stand out.
Thanks for looking!

I got a bunch of dwarf rangers off of ebay this week too, and they also came with the dwarf ballista operators so I need to build a ballista for them to operate :P

Must say, I really like the blood... the details on the base.. and the cape - such a nice color scheme - you really did black/red combination perfect 8)

Thanks! Glad you like it!

Here is a test model for my dwarf rangers. I like how it turned out, but I think I'm going to change it up a bit, mainly because the cloak requires a lot of mixing.

He's lovely, I really like the subtle Ranger colours, he really looks like he belongs in the wilds scouting out danger!

Nicely done on the captain and on your rangers! For the ballista, if you have any warhammer bits, their outsize crossbows work well for a ballista. Here is a simple one I did.

That does look good for a "true scale" ballista, nice idea!

The Dwarf captain is very different from what I've seen before. He reminds me of a super hero; the cape is superbly done. And I do really like the rangers as well. I converted ballista teams as seen on "An hour of wolves and shattered shields" website. Some great stuff there, have a look. My ballistae are purchased from either 4ground or warbases.co.uk. They cost a few pounds, but are great for cheap and lazy dwarf commanders.

Thanks everyone! Thanks for the ballista help as well, I'll keep that in mind whenever I get to it.
I've been pretty busy this month, but I did manage to get this guy painted up. I'll post some better pics later.

Just noticed I forgot to paint the rust on his gauntlet, oops
Really like how it turned out though, it was a lot of fun to paint too.
Thanks for looking!
