Hopefully when the Gundabad Orc upgrade set is released we'll get another warband bundle, perhaps even for the Mirkwood armored Elves as well!

Hear ye, hear ye! Rejoice throughout all Middle Earth! This is brilliant news! I was considering proxies for my Laketown survivors, but with shipping and the need to buy swords for conversions, the new warband is probably going to nearly the same price.

Adam & co have heard our cries about prices and are doing their best to correct them. I just wish their leaders were included for 13 minis and a standard bearer to replace one of the double spearmen or swordsmen they are including. Then it would be perfect.

A good idea - They get to lower the price without having to lose face and actually lower the price of the 3-packs.

Hopefully they will do the same for the other Finecast infantry too.

When three was £15, 12 for £40 on them hobbit miniatures is amazing. I hope they do this for teh entire hobbit range and it's almost alittle sad they didn't do this from the begining back when the movies was generating hype around the IP. The quicker the hobbit BSG becomes Middle Earth BSG the better.

I'm amazed and heartened by this news! I have criticized GW's 'value for money' previously but this is an incredible move on their part - it slashes the price per figure by almost £2 each if you buy the warband - i've ordered 1 each already and will definitely be buying future warbands when they are released.

Those of us that can I would urge to buy at least 1 of the 2 warbands available - if GW see that this 'opportunity / goodwill gesture' works through increased sales, they will almost certainly continue this trend.

I really hope that they do a similar thing with elves / orcs.

I'm not interested in playing Laketown, myself, but the militia I feel would work as "free folk" humans for small scale scenarios and conversion bases.

This is amazing news and I hope they continue this trend with other 3 packs.
