Hey guys. I've been a fan and lurker for a long time and have finally got my hands on some figures. so decided to do a bit of a WiP thingus here.
I decided to do some Minas Tirith blokes first but went with an off white instead of the black (creative freedom and all that :P)

So here we have the first few figures, hope you like. C&C's welcome of course.

Gandalf and some friends. I think i need to touch up a little on the knight and i need to finish the basing for the warrior. The knight had a mount swap, using one of the Perry horses because the one he came with had spindly little legs that kept bending.

And some Uruks i had cleaned up a little and rebased, got these from a friend. tried some free hand(no pun intended) stuff on the shields

Welcome to the forum!

Painting is very sharp, as is the basing. The white hands look great. The white shield and cloth on the Gondorian don't quite "pop," though maybe that's the photo more than the color. Terrain in the back looks very nice, too.

Really very good painted figures, they are looking very impressing. The inverted healdic colours on the shield are an interesting idea. Maybe the could mark some kind of elite unit.

It's not clear to see on your pictures, whether the knight has a small banner at his lance or not. The older tin knights from GW didn't have such small flags, the newer plastic knights did. I used thin paper drenched in white glue to create the missing flags at the older miniatures with good results.

I would like to see more from your MT WiP.

Hey. Thanks for all the feedback and praise. didn't expect that :E

Progress is going pretty slowly because of bad timing lol. The release of the new edition of 40k has made me split my time between them.

@Werenor: The knight is the old metal one, I may go and try that for the little flags, thanks. I got him in a random box of miniatures so he's alone for the time being, will need to get him some friends soon.

Anyway here is a little work on some more guys.

I also worked in the troll. He's too cool to be left grey.

And a little group shot.

Very, very, very good paint scheme for those!
Very inspiring!

Did I say very yet? Wow!

Do you have a bigger picture of the minas tirith warriors? I wanna see exactly what you did there! :o

What kind of colours did you use on the armour? It looks more bronze-ish than silver to me. Do you use GW paints for that?

White Minas Tirith is a nice change. Why don't you post some of your 40k photos in our 40k forum? I'd also like to see some clearer shots of the troll.

I love our community. Everyone is super supportive and nice. Just like our own piece of the shire.

Impressive! How did you make the bushes? Also the troll is so full of extremely well painted details that I looked at it like 20 minutes straight! Show us more, sir!
