I feel like your orcs capture the fact that they are corrupted versions of elf's very well and give the army a lot more diversity.

I love your orcs. I converted so many that I am finally getting into sculpting more and more so seeing your work is great inspiration to know that like minded hobbyists have taken those bold step before me.

I love the orcs! I don't recognize them, where are they from (or their bits for the conversion) ?

@Valadorn: like the others custom orc they are made with celtic warlord bits, perry miniature plastic kit, some azog's hunters bits and of course a bit of green stuff!
In the last command duo the banner and the shield came from skaven bits; if you want to know something specific don't hesitate to ask!

@Feanorthenoldor: thanks!

Wow! This thread was a real treat. I especially like the skin tone on your Gundabad Beserker.

Orcs look really great, very uniform considering they are made up of all sorts of products. You could give a lot of sculptors here a run for their money. I also love the Gundabad skin tones. Mind sharing the formula?

I'm impressed every time I look at your work, from the custom/kit bashed Orcs to the paint jobs which tie them all together :yay:

I also really like the skin tone on the Berserker, and the custom orcs are fantastic!

Many thanks guys!

For the gundabad skin tone:
-bleached bone + a bit of ratskin (80-20) for base
-wash all with gryphonne sephia
-get back wit base mix
-add bleached bone in the mix and start lighting
-add bleached (almost pure) for final light
-at this point i start with various wash and soft glazing to made more contrast and all, first with snakebite leather, then rhinox hide, than i mix of them, a bit of random here i don't remember exactly
- get back with the final light where you want them (face, etc)

More lenght to write than done it i guarantee :-D .

@Morghot- These are some really nice minis! Good work. I was curious what you used to texture the base. I want to do something like that for my Morannons but I'm not sure which texture paint to get.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks!

@McGarnacle: sorry for the late reply! For the bases i use the citadel sand, i have the old one when was sold in a jar dont know if its still the same.

Anyway i use that sand, then i pass all over water+vinavil to anchor and secure it and when dry i make 3 paint step:
base steel legion drab + black 30-70, drybrush with steel legion, drybrush with bleached bone
