Great look and feel to the Orcs, love them. Rohan are up to your usual stunning quality too.

As much as I love you vibrant schemes those grubby Orcs look spot on.

I wasn't set on the checkered pattern at first, but now that the model is fully painted, it fits better. Excellent job! 8)

Thanks! Glad you like the pattern, I think it turned out well..
Here is a quick update on my entry for this month's challenge.

This is from a few days ago so I've got a little more done than what's in the picture. Still, it's going to be tough finishing this in time.

Love the contrast between the gold armour and the chainmail. Good luck finishing on time, it will be a great entry.

Thanks! Here is where I'm at right now.

Now I need to stick his sword back on and finish it up. I don't have a pic of the back yet, but I decided to paint the cloak a deep purple instead of the traditional white. I did this because the white would have taken a lot more time to paint, and also because I wanted to do something different. I chose purple because I like purple and gold, and to kind of being out the purple in the shades of the armor. I'm not sure if that actually happened, but I like the look of it. I will probably do some more work on the armor, just to smooth it out and stuff.

And I somehow managed to get it done.

I'm really happy with how it turned out, especially considering how quickly I had to do it. Some things could have been better and there are things I would have liked to have done, but I still really like it. I think it might be my best figure yet. Let me know what you guys think!

I really like the blue and yellow shields on your Rohan guys. Can't imagine why though :p

Some amazing painting in this thread.

Keep up the good work.

The High Elves style is so elegant and organic - I really like that example. Beautiful work!

Thanks Dorth! Glad you like it. I finally made it to an actual GW store and got me one of these
Image

This will be the biggest mini I have painted so far, but it looks like a lot of fun to paint. It'll take me a while to get through, especially since I am in the middle of doing a massive cleanup of my work space. Hopefully I can finish that up quickly so I can get started. Watch this space!

Sorry for my absence, school's been keeping me busy. I've also been moving my brother's miniatures from storage back onto the shelves. I've assembled the beast, but I've put it on hold while I paint my entry for this month.
Here are some pictures of everything.
