Can Lances support?

Only spears are mentioned as able to support, so lances cannot support. True?

Since War spears count as lances when mounted, they can only support on foot. True?

That's how I understand the rules :

War spear is a lance when mounted, and a spear when on foot. Not both

lances are dropped when a model dismounts, they are to unwieldy

unless specifically stated (like the haradrim war spear) a lance is not a spear.

Can Lances support?
