Hi there.
Gray company-
Im thinkin of starting a gray Company army, a Whole lot of Archers with F4 is the way for me
Problem is, that every time i read about them, Theres a dunadain leading 4 rangers - so alot of small Groups ?
Can a dunadain/ranger of the North (all have heroic moves)
Lead MORE rangers than 4 eatch ?
I like them to leed a Whole full 12 man warband pr dunadain.
Arnor- (warriors of Arnor
Can arnor include warhorns ? Dosent say in the "legions of arnor" sourcebook
The Grey Company has a special rule: for every Dunedain and/or Ranger of the north, it may field 4 Rangers of Arnor. That rule overrides the 33% Bow limit. That means, if you take 3 Dunedain/RotN you can field 12 rangers and have an army with 100% bows.
Rangers of the north and dunedains are indipendent heroes. that means that each of them one-man warband.
To lead rangers, you still need Heroes of Arnor, which are:
-Aragorn, Isildur's Heir
-Halbarad
-Arathorn
-Malbeth
-Elladan & Elrohir
-Captain of Arnor.
To put it simply, I made an example list in this spoiler
WARBAND 1
Ranger of the north
WARBAND 2
Ranger of the North
WARBAND 3
Ranger of the North
WARBAND 4
Ranger of the North
WARBAND 5
Ranger of the North
WARBAND 6
Ranger of the North
WARBAND 7
Arathorn (leader)
12 Rangers of Arnor
WARBAND 8
Halbarad
12 Rangers of Arnor
As you can seen, since I have 6 RotN, I can field 24 Rangers and have 100% bows. However, those rangers have to be lead by another hero.
The Arnor units can be found in the "kingdoms of men" sourcebook. The only units avalaible are Rangers and Warriors of Arnor. Warriors have access to banner, but not to a warhorn, if I remember correctly.
