All profiles from the Rohan list besides Theoden himself, count Theoden, King of Rohan, as a 6 inch banner.
Thodens stand fast range is 12"

Wargear:
Amored Horse-15
Horse-10
Heavy Armor-5
Shield-5

Im thinking 100 points is fair. Hes automatically almost always going to have a horse minimum. And he needs armor to survive. His fight and attacks are still fair.

I totally agree that Theoden should have an alternative profile! Have you considered the possibility that Snowmane might have been one of the Mearas? That way Theoden could have an armored horse with 12 inch move. I like the thought of Theoden counting as a banner and having a greater stand fast, but in all honesty I would only go with one of them, and that would have to be the greater stand fast. The special rule could be called: "To me, to me!". What do you think?

I like that idea but I just feel rohan deserves someone with a large banner that they want to fight harder for, and the 3 inch banners can barely fit any cavalry in their range.

I do understand your point. Im just trying to make rohan a more competitive force. Fact of the matter is in scenarios like Hold Ground and High Ground and various others they'll always find themselves hard pressed to win.

Did you choose a points value?

I also like your horse idea. Im going to stick with the normal thing for now though as this is a preliminary test for my group.

I voted for 105 points. You could always just add "Armored Mearas/Snowmane" - 20 points (Horse with Defence 6, and 12 inch movement). This gives Theoden something unique to him (though Felarof really should be defence 6).

I went with 105 points as well. Although it's not a big difference from 100, I feel that his 6" inch banner warrants it.
