Dont debate which is the best. Just tell me your favorite and why.

I personally like the Witch King the best.

Overall, the best versatility. Ive heard people say they dont like him but I dont understand it. You can have any amount of might, will, and fate you like. I like that he can be good in combat if youd like, but I use wraiths as support only not combat models. As support, his magic is as good as everyones. AND he is the only wraith I beieve that can destroy a wizards staff which is invaluable. On a 4+! There goes his will. And unless you max out the witch King youre going to be paying less than a wizard.

Also he fits in Angmar, Mordor, or easily as a separate entity in most armies in points, and theme.

Runners up: Dark Marshall, and either Shadow Lord of KOU. Shadow Lord because I constantly play people people with who have lots of bows. One friend has Mirkwood Rangers, Thranduil, Legolas, and Riders of Rohan ahaha.

I think the Tainted is the coolest looking model but i feel like Khamul is the most fun to use. Being able to jump in and fight stuff feels to me like how the wraiths should be even instead of having to hide them from combat to keep the will up. He also gets points for actually being mentioned in Tolkien's writings and isn't entirely a GW creation.

I agree with Glory4Gondor, the Dark Marshal is my top wraith. Good Might and Fate, very nice passive rule that is simple to use and has been useful in all of the games I have played Mordor (3.......). His 12 will leaves a bit to be desired, but low casting values and only using spells at the right time mitigates this somewhat. F6 is a nice gimmick so you can transfix and charge a hero while ensuring you have the higher F and can work wonders on elves, everyone always forgets he has a higher fight than other wraiths. I personally love his aesthetic as well, it really oozes malevolence, just as a wraith should. My second favourite is the Knight of Umbar, love his combat mimicry rule, 3 might is great and he's a solid caster with a good will store and casting values. Give him a fellbeast and he's awesome, IMHO the best combat wraith.

it really is a difficult question. Each Nazgul is different, each special rule may do wonders in one scenario and be assolutely useless in the next.

I think the witch king is the best, simply because, unlike other nazguls, you can build him based on your army necessities, and not vice-versa.
He can be upgraded to do anything you need him to do. He can be both a spellcaster and a fighter, depending on what you need.

The undying on a beast, all you need to keep good away.

Strong spellcasting, and the beast keeps him mobile and also able to deal with cavalry should the need arise. Pair with a strong combat character and very little can stand in your way.

That's such a difficult question, oooh where to begin?

In terms of aesthetics, the Tainted (appearance and rules) and the Dwimmerlaik (rules) are how the Ringwraiths are described in the books: sources of menace that make everyone cower away.

If I want combat, Khamul on a fellbeast. If I want hero-killing, Witch King with boosted stats and a Morgul Blade. If I want a big pain in my opponent's bum, the Undying. Then there's the Budget Wraith, always pleasant to know that I have a ~75 point hero capable of ruining my opponent's day.
With all that said, I think my favourite rule, though I've only managed to use it once, is the Tainted. He can just ruin the game for your opponent (as long as you can keep him alive).

Wow I'm suprised so many of you like the way the tainted looks. He's honestly one of my least favorite of all the wraiths based on looks.

I like the shadow lord because his rule feels the most canonical in my opinion.

The witch king and the tainted are probably my next favorites. I have always liked the casting wraiths a bit better... just seems more book appropriate, except the witch king w/ crown, of course.

He just looks so... unwholesome. The other Ringwraiths are so proud and upright, but that Tainted sculpt just makes you feel his misery and his anger at everything that moves under the sun. He just looks like something that would make any living thing shrivel and wither away, I am always really struck by the amount of character he has.

Afraid for me it has to be the Witch King - you can tool him up for all sorts of different roles on the battlefield and how much you want to spend on him.

I would always go with him over any of the others though I agree with the comments about the look of the tainted as well.

Combine the witch king with a couple of mordor trolls or a troll chieftain and you normally have a pretty unstoppable duo I have found.

Undying as a leader 20 fate and some of the best casting in the game!

In general he's a tank. Just avoid Floi or that 20 fate will become 0.

Otherwise, he's probably my favourite point-n-click Wraith. So so good.
