You've got talent 8) I still don't really like the young Thorin model, but the paint job is good, and I really like how you painted the shield. It looks superb

Very nice painting George! I just went through the whole WiP and I really like your idea of painting warriors in colours based upon their captain!

Damn, young Thorin is great! Your Easterlings are likewise awesome and gets me wanting to start my own!

It helps in both variety and uniformity Machiel. Even if these two meanings are a bit controversial.

I was toying around with Picasa and here's what I did, nothing spectacular, but new ground for me nonetheless. Glorfindel and Celeborn are older paint jobs, but Saruman was put in the display case very recently.

I'm in between many projects, but if I manage to get a result that satisfies me, I'll join in this month's contest for the first time with this little guy that I got 3 days ago through a One-Ring trade. :D :D

Wonderful! Paint jobs like this keep inspiring me to pick up my brush and work my way through the various projects I have on the go.

Beautiful definition all over Glorfindel and Celeborn. Nailed it pefectly.

And that could actually be the real life Christopher Lee!

Cheers guys for the comments.
I find it aspiring to get such praise from people who also try their best on making their armies beautiful and unique.
Since my last update, I managed to enter last month's competition on the very last hours with a model that I had aqcuired less than a week ago, I was disappointed by the very hasty photo-session that blew my chances, but who cares really, I enjoyed myself making the bases and it was nice to work against the clock for once. I'll photograph the Undying properly the next time. For this month's competition, I totally forgot to photograph my Dalamyr and he's finished now, only the basing remains and I'm really disappointed with myself that I forgot to get a proof of the model primed black. :o :-X
Since I'll be in the UK for the next couple of weeks, I suppose I won't have time to paint something else to enter the competition this time.

What would you say if a POP warband of 6 Hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs appeared? Never again before (even more colours than the previous ones) so many colours on some filthy, little orcs. 8)

P.S. If anybody has a couple of minutes, drop a vote for a couple of my painted miniatures on coolminiornot, it will be much appreciated. The link is just below. Thanks!

Those are awesome. I love all the colors. I think this kit is one of my favorites I have worked on, strangely enough I can't get motivated to do my hunters on foot, lol. But I think I will try out some of your colors as it will drive me to work through them.
Can't wait to see more.

Really great work all over this WIP...I'm both inspired and speechless...

I gave you some votes over on CMON, I particularly liked your armoured Glorfindel, and your Gothmog on foot is one of the best I've seen,,,
