Damn, this Aragorn has got me kicking myself for never buying the Warg Attack set. So many lovely minis in there, but at the time it seemed so expensive...

I still see the mtd Aragorn model from time to time and usually not too expensive.

Managed to get the pics of Boromir sorted so will upload them later today.

Cheers for the great comments guys.

This is definitely one of my favorite models you've yet painted. Very well done.
Your work Kev keeps motivating me to top you, even once lol. In friendly competition

I like that! Thats good to know bro. :)

Onto the next project. An unreleased Boromir. Same as the released armoured Boromir minus the shield. Sadly this guy isn't mine and was supplied by the client. I'll find time to paint my own one day.....

beautiful, especially the red.

question, what color/colors did you use for the freehand on the red cloak?

Funny you should ask that Feanor as I changed from how i would normally do it. On this model I freehanded the design straight on with Vallejo BoneWhite (GW Bleached bone) .

Usually I paint the design with snakebite leather followed by highlight with bleached bone. As i wanted the cloak to look crisp and regal i went straight for the light colour.

The red cloak is amongst your best and I've noted a distinct improvement in your glazing. His face is a perfect example of this.

Thanks man. I spent maybe 7 hours on Aragorn and maybe 4 or 5 on Boromir.

It is awesome that you get to try so many things with models, so even though I can feel sympathy that you have to put off painting your own beauties, when you do, they are awesome. This is a great paint job. The free hand is tight. I am sure you will one up yourself when you paint your own.

And yet another wonderful paint job. Everything looks good, the blending on the cloak is well done, and the free hand is also very well done. My only complaint is that the paint on the horn, the actual horn not the metal bits, looks a bit off. It's only a small thing, but other than that, it looks great! :yay:

Beautiful! I love the red with the rather dark armour! The little freehand work around the edges sets him apart and shows that he's the captain of Gondor! :D

The owner is a collector also and knows what he has there, makes it all the more a pleasure to paint these guys for him. There are more to follow.

Just completed Faramir but the daylight has given out on me today so pics will have to wait until 2moro.

for my painting change the above hours to days, and still my painting would be well below Kevs standard!
