In the books its called Dimrill Dale, but I know if from the Dwarvish valley of Azanulbizar. Plus, it sounds cooler.

My local gaming buddy and I are planning on doing these from the Hobbits most recent book, and I can explain more about them if you dont know or havent seen the scenarios.

I was wondering if anyone has played these or has thought about them.

I definitely will let you guys know in a battle rep eventually how it turns out.

Its fought in 3 stages, once with Thror, Thrain, and Thorin, and then if Thror dies, only the two, and then if Thrain dies, only Thorin remains, as explained in the first hobbit movie.

I have most of the models, and play Hunter Orcs and Erebor often, so I asked him and it sounded good.

Yeah man. I am missing a few pieces, so Ill have to wait at least a week to start it. Being some time at the beginning of August. But otherwise, it should be fun. Only problem is I often play hunters and my buddy has only ever used Wood Elves hahaa and hes going to be the Erebor force. They are tough though....

I played one of the latter parts of the battle and it ended with all of the dwarves dead and Azog facing a shielding Thorin (who oakenshielded 2 wounds on Azog) It was very cinematic and fun but the sheer numbers of orcs made it tough for the dwarves to pull it out.
