I've used UHU for saliva in mouths and it's great to use. I like the bubbles idea.
Have you tried using clear silicone, the stuff you use on bathrooms ?
It's great for creating splashes, just work a small amount with a toothpick.

Never tried it, to be honest it's really rare I have water on bases. You'll notice a theme of desert bases on all my 40k and fantasy stuff ;) and then my dwarves are on rock haha.
I have some sort of silicone glue from my mother ( she makes cards) so that might work. I'll have a play :)

Thanks everyone!

Oh there's a video on my YouTube channel of a 360 spin of the watcher:

Alternatively, you can just paint your model then sneeze on it.

Actually, the silicone sounds more hygienic - and more robust than the UHU, although they'll both give you a headache while they set!

So my new side project, converting a goblin king to be sitting on his throne!

He'll have a pointy finger and hopefully some squished gobbos under his feet!

I like the idea Tim. Funny how they have never released a version like this.
Are you going to work the ground around him to cover that black base you can see ?

He's not going to go on the base anymore, was just a joke photo I put up accidentally haha, showing he can still totally be used for gaming as he fits on his base perfectly fine ;)

Originally I was going to do on just posed differently, but Amy suggested doing one on throne, so I'll end up getting another for use on foot probably ;)

I plan to get the set one day though my version would be the fight on the rope bridges. It should bring me some interesting challenges.

Nice, are you going to have Goblins under his feet?

Great conversion - hilarious take on the scene from the film (listen hard and you hear the gobbos moan in despair as The Goblin King stands on them).

Dezartfox, I strongly suggest you invest in a static grass applicator as it makes such a difference to the look of a gaming board.
Last year I made a couple of boards and the static grass applicator made all the grass stand upright, which looks great. I don't think they cost too much. I bought a homemade one from a guy off here years ago but don't know if he's in business any more.

Man, Goblin King is looking royally awesome. Great idea and very good at bringing it to life. Can't wait to see him painted up.

@Natarn,
It'd get flattened anyway as we pack the board away and tend to pile stuff on it haha. Maybe when I have a proper set up :) this one was just to make do for now!

@Sithious,
Thanks! He's on the do list at least ;) there's another that I forgot to post on the GBHL page or on my The Vanus Temple Facebook page,

I painted up Biblo for the painting competition, pics of him can be found there but here's gollum:
