Luke Skywalker didn't rebuild the Jedi Order and become Grand Master? He didn't have a son, Ben Skywalker with Mara Jade?

Han and Leia didn't have three powerful force sensitive kids, Jacen, Jaina and Anakin?

Leia didn't help found a New Republic?

I was excited for the new Star Wars but if this Devlan Mud is true...

I wanted a fragile New Republic, rising from the ashes of galactic war, overshadowed by a Cold War with a defeated but still formidable Imperial Remnant (ruled by a Moff general, not a Sith).

A fledgling New Jedi Order of young novices and a handful of aging Jedi Masters, lead by Luke Skywalkers.

And a sinister unseen threat lurking on the fringes of the galaxy, scattered cults of Sith and Dark Jedi perhaps, or something far worse that threatens both the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant, forcing old enemies to put their differences aside...

I didn't expect them to do a literal adaptation of the Expanded Universe but my god, I was really hoping to see Jacen, Jaina and Anakin Solo, and Ben Skywalker as the new younger protagonists and focus of the trilogy.

I really hope this leak is false.

To be honest I don't think it's all that bad, though it's probably bs. I like the idea of the heroes being under duress, rather than as the official armed wing of the government.

Still, I'd be very disappointed if we don't see the Skywalker and Solo children, especially the Solo Twins (Jacen and Jaina).

I'm hoping for an adaptation of the overall story arc of the Expanded Universe, especially the Solo twins.

Spoiler:

The galaxy is invaded and almost conquered by an extra-galactic race almost completely immune and insensitive to the Force (Yuuz Han Vong). They are eventually defeated at great cost (Anakin Skywalker) and the Yuuz Han Vong survivors are peacefully resettled on a sentient planet (Zonama Sekot).

However, Jacen Solo was forced to utilise the dark side of the Force in order to save the galaxy and after the war is won, he succumbs to it and becomes a new Sith Lord (Darth Caedus). His own family are forced to fight against his new Empire, until finally he is killed by his own twin sister Jaina.

They're claiming none of the aforementioned children from the EU will be there. They seem to be looking at the EU and trying to steer the exact other way.

Another update this time new Storm Troopers. I'm not looking the idea of panchos or capes

Another update. Just to keep you all in the loop

For myself this is the first positive in terms of what's happening. I like the idea that the Empire still needs to be rooted out. Although I wish there was an established New Republic to do it
