I think the base is awesome, Sharky is very well painted. I don't like the blue, but it is because it is odd and just takes getting used too. But you do great work.

Mally - outstanding work on both the mini and the base.

I can see where Han is coming from with the blue. Perhaps if you made a running effect around the edge of the stone he's stood on rather than have the straight blue edge have it running and seeping down the side of the rock it would help with the illusion of the blue eminating and polluting the surrounding area from Sharkey himself. Really blown away by that base tho. excellent.

Thanks again for all your comments.
The blue is definitely a talking point if nothing else and I think I should have added some green stuff bubbles and a green slime to help define his evil pouring out. My intention was for the blending of two extreme colours and to that extent I am happy, after all it is for a painting challenge.
The bases are something I have been studying and working toward. I am pleased with this one and I'm surprised at how incredibly easy I find it to produce. You can buy a strip of 2 x 2 timber for a couple of pound and make yourself countless display bases from it.
I intend to progress my base work by adding further items and creating more of a story, but that is for the future.
Thanks again for all responses, they have helped me a great deal.

I've had a thought for a while about an eagle attacking a troll in a depiction of the final battle scene infront of the the black gates in ROTK.
It may just be the two figures or it could be a little larger, that is still to be considered.
First thing would be to finish my diorama. I've had some problems with deliveries and realistic water not clearing. It shouldn't take too long though, maybe a good few sessions will complete it, but it's just how soon I can get those good sessions in.
