The rohan soldier is really stunning, the freehands are unbelievable great! 8) I like especially the one on the cloak but the shield is a masterpiece on its one as well! Bard and the Uruk captain are lovely, too! I am really looking forward to seeing more...

Apart from your incredible painting, what I love most is the way you have slighty cocked the rider on his horse to show the jolting movement of the beast. It is that attention to detail that really makes art.

Wonderful painting. The freehand is marvellous but even without the horse on the cloak, that warrior would look great.
Of course this just makes judging the competitions even tougher. There seem to be new, stunning painting talents coming out of the woodwork on a weekly basis.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I really appreciate it. Sorry I have been out of touch for a bit. I was asked to write a journal article on the Marcellus Shale and it has been taking up most of my time.

Here is an Uruk banner bearer I finished a while ago.

I also posted some pics of my back log on the blog if anyone is interested.

Thanks again for looking and for the compliments.

I wondered were you had gone. Nice to have you back.
Great banner, I'm liking the brown highlighting and the hand looks great - another excellent piece.

Wonderful Bill, the blond hair looks great, really effective and quite sinister.

Great looking Uruks there! The only advice I could offer is that on both banner poles the brown looks a little bit flat and perhaps could use some highlighting but apart from that I'd say perfect, wish I could paint Uruks like you :)

been clapping myself all the way until page 12!
Especially because of the inevitable evolution and the excellent work on the basing part.
I'm gonna steal some things myself.

The blond hair makes him look like the Wraith from Stargate Atlantis.
Fabulous uruks, utterly fabulous.

Hi all. As always thank you so much for all the compliments.

Yes DMS did paint all of these. I just post them as my own. He found out and got mad and no longer speaks to me which is too bad, I had UKFreddyBear sculpting us matching BFF necklaces. Guess I need to scrap that project now.

You know its possible that I paint all of DMS's minis and he just posts them on his thread as if they are his own. Your mind is blown now isnt it?

HAHAHA

Anyway, I am slowly repainting alot of my older collection. Some of the first things I painted were Riders of Rohan. He is a shot of one of the old atrocious paint jobs

Here is a repaint of one

More to come. I am currently working on two brand new riders and another repaint.

Thanks again for all the compliments guys. I really appreciate it! This community rocks!

Nice job! What colours did you use for the heraldic emblem on the shield?

Lovely work Bill , the horse is fantastic and your trademark base setting it off.
I think you could post a photo without your name and i'd spot your work.

Awesome, looking great. I love re-painting old stuff and making it fresh.

If you want to go on and paint all my Rohan models that would be great. :-D

Wow, again I can't thank you guys enough for all the compliments.

A quick update. I finally got a few things cleared off the table. A RoR repaint, a new RoR, and another Uruk Banner.

They look fantastic! I'm most impressed by the banner. I struggle mightily with free hand
