I am in. I got my Legolas DOS version. Will post start pic tomorrow. It was great to watch "miniature painting secrets for 6 hours with Jennifer Haley and then paint up the first few colors of Legolas. Definitely made me slow down, think about my colors and blends, thin paint more than usual (with all the rushed orcs I was getting bad habbits). So add to this that I am painting a good guy (rare for me) and entering a contest (just to be part of this group is awesome) I am inspired a bit. Fun break from all the projects for sure.

I've been meaning to post this pic for a while now, here's my entry, 10 Mirkwood rangers and Legolas, doubt they'll all get done but hopefully one will be finished in time. Sorry for the pic, I painted the first green base coat on two of the Rangers before I realised I hadn't snapped a pic, hopefully that won't be enough to disqualify me!

Good luck all!

Dr Grant - I won't disqualify you for the paintwork already on the models........ however your rendition of Hungry eyes is a huge contender for disqualification lol

Here's mine.

Since I don't think I'll be able to outdo most of these guys with skill alone, I'll be doing something a little funky to hopefully capture a few votes!

I hope I still have time to enter the contest, and hopefully complete my entry (unlike last month's...). Here is my proof photo of the Legolas I had painted 7-8 years ago.

Aule your base is very fitting, and his eyes are stunning; and Joshuar what a smooth paintjob you've done on the face :) .

Here is a WIP of my Legolas: Image

I've had some issues with taking a proper photo. His inner clothing has received about 6 layers of paint; and I spent almost an hour on his face, and then.... I accidentally forgot to wash my brush off the brown wash before applying flesh wash, and tadam he got a bad sunburn.
