If I had 10c for every hobby I enjoy I'd have ... $1.20

Obviously I enjoy wargaming. But that has many and quite diverse aspects, each of which could be a hobby in its own right.

Painting figures
Scratch-building
Gaming
Rules writing

I also like...

flying kites,
playing the piano (no good at it),
learning foreign languages (a smattering of German and Italian so far, but I want to learn Cantonese),
travelling,
learning about history,
watching old sci-fi movies
role playing games,
astronomy,

And I have an interest in pretty much any kind of model making.

I guess these are passions rather than hobbies:

- Astronomy (did MSc at the Swinburne Astronomy Online during 2005-2009)
- model railroading, my Reunited Kingdom Rail is still in "planning & hoarding rolling stock and other stuff" stage
- other modeling, mainly manned spaceflight related (almost completely focused on collecting at this moment, no time to build while the LotR campaign is ongoing); also warships in 1:350 scale (although I've only completed one - CVN-65 back in 2004, http://www.carrierbuilders.net/gallery/20050319_1_350_Enterprise_CVN_65/20050319_1_350_Enterprise.htm)
- home cinema & movies (sci-fi, fantasy, epics, classics, musicals, animation, science documentaries, ...)

...and in addition to those passions, I guess these categorize as mere hobbies:
- occasional board gaming (Arkham Horror, Mansions of Madness primarily)
- console gaming (games heavy on story like Mass Effect trilogy, Heavy Rain, Beyond two souls, Last of Us, Testament of Sherlock Holmes, ...)
- traveling
- cooking
- reading; mainly science non-fiction, but also occasional comic books (Carl Barks, Don Rosa, Alan Moore, Frank Miller etc), sci-fi & fantasy fiction, and model railroading books

It would seem that at any given time, only one of the main passions is in the forefront, and far less time is allocated to the others. It was astronomy during 2001-2010, now it's mainly the campaign and the associated modeling, with the model railroading chugging along slowly. But I always try to squeeze in a good movie or a short console / board gaming session just for variety...

I'm afraid I don't play online. I usually play other games than SBG/WotR, too, together with my friend, even video games. Sometimes there is a co-op mode, more often not - but in any case, we ponder about the choices and procedures together and alternate between who is actually handling the controller (and who is checking the walkthroughs for hints, if needed). Beyond two souls was fun because it actually had a mode for two players.

I enjoy:
Reading
Photography and editing
Eating
Shooting (airsoft)
PC Gaming (most valve titles, Garry's mod, DayZ, couple of shoot 'em ups...)
These days I often find myself gaming instead of painting...

I am building a 49cc China Doll motorized bike.
You can check out my build thread here... http://motorbicycling.com/showthread.php?t=53036

I hear there are a lot of restrictions in the UK.
Even here in the states there are mixed feelings towards them.

I enjoy painting when there is time.
And photography has always been a passion.

Amen to that!!

I love soccer, both playing and watching. I have a season ticket for Ireland home games for my sins!! I also watch rugby and GAA.
I garden for work but sometimes at home as well!
I love walking my dogs on the beach and hiking.
Love music, a little playing but mostly just listening to it while doing other hobbies. (painting, hiking etc.)
Reading, movies, baking, learning new things(about history, religions languages etc).
And lastly, not really a hobby but I immensely enjoy it and it takes most of my free time at the mo, it is looking after and amusing my 1 year old son! Can't wait til he is old enough to play me at SBG!!

I too love football, I'm a huge everton fan and I'm pretty sure Seamus Coleman came through GAA when we signed him up. Everton is the home to many Ireland players ;)

Since becoming a Father 3 years ago I have no time for any hobbies other than LOTR which I make time for (sometimes skipping hours of sleep in order to get something done in my hobby). But I do enjoy being a parent.

When she gets a little older I hope to get back into my other interests, I just forgot what they are. Skate boarding, Guitar, working out, reading and writing, getting out of the house for any reason in the spring/summer.

My bike project has been a WIP since November!
Hope it's ready for spring.

I never would have thought there was such an interest in Astronomy here :)

I'm actually studying Astrophysics in college, and I love it! :D Not to mention, it makes Star Wars (of which I am a massive fan) way cooler when you can appreciate the immense power and energy of different astrophysical objects. Even though Star Wars physics doesn't really agree with real world physics

Well I'm actually an AC Milan fan but I watch a lot of Premiership football and the team I would root for most in England, believe it or not, is Everton!! Seamus Coleman was signed from Sligo Rovers in the Irish premier league but you are right he did play GAA before that. If he hadn't gone to soccer, he would likely have an All Ireland Football medal now!!

Yes Everton have five Irish players in the first team squad I think. They have, in my opinion, the current best player for the Irish national team in Coleman and also by far the worst in Aidan McGeady! I'm personally not a fan!

Watching the arsenal Everton fa cup game at the mo. Currently 1-1. C'mon The Toffees!!

Over the years I've had a few interests. I played Dungeons & Dragons as a teen, then started collecting vintage star wars toys and touring the convention circuit collecting autographs. In the nineties I stopped all that as starting a family put a considerable dent in my disposable income although i still have my collection. I did however become interested in family history and traced mine back to the late 1600s. A spin off from that is I became a Titanic researcher for the BBC during the centennial year in 2012. Sports wise I was a track and field star at school but despite interest from Team Solent athletic club, I preferred team sports and became a wide receiver for the local American Football club. A game I enjoyed for over 20 years before my knees told me it was time to retire last year. I've been an avid follower of the Chicago Bears since 1984.
I got into this hobby at its conception after seeing an ad for BGiME on TV. I'm lucky in that respect as it has allowed me to pick everything up as it was released. In that time I've never been to a tournament as I've always preferred spending my cash on minis rather than tickets, travel and accommodation.
