Hi guys,

I have very recently gotten back into the hobby after stopping many years ago.
As Christmas approached I started to remember one of the best Christmases I'd had was back in school when I was given a huge amount of LOTR boxsets.
This got me suddenly psyched to get down a few figures from the attic, go out and buy a bunch of new paints and have a bit of fun.
Anyway a month or so later and I'm still pretty keen. I've painted up a small group of dwarves and Warriors of Rohan, and recently purchased a few royal guard.

Just wondered if anyone could give me a heads up on the best way to achieve that brilliant green color their cloaks are... I understand its Dark Angels Green mostly. But any tips on the process involved, would be great.

Thanks a lot and I'll be sure to start a WIP thread as soon as I get around to it! I've found this site super useful for motivation and ideas, no idea why I didn't come across this back in the day!

Cheers!

Hey there

I actually have the White Dwarf that came out with the Royal Guard Release and it has an 'Eavy Metal guide for them in it. Assuming I it's not against board policy, I can PM you a pic of just that page if you'd like?

As I recall the cloak highlight is mixing grey into the dark angels green.

Just a gentle reminder that it's not a good idea to post or request that another member post copyrighted material on the forum. It could get the forum in trouble with the owner of the copyright.
