You've really done those excellent sculpts justice. Very atmospheric.
I'm going to have to get some of those now.

Here's some quick WIP shots of the crossbows, I was hoping to get these finished however I got a little distracted (as you can see in my non-LOTR thread):

I should have these finished by Wednesday and started on the next (and for now last) unit to do.

Those are awesome dwarves. I went back to your first page and had flashbacks of painting my easterling army and after sever minutes curled in the corner shivering I was able to return and look through some other pages (though not all yet). Great work. I love the fallen dwarves, they look great as a model and well painted too.

I'm definitely interested in getting some of these little buggers now! If only they were readily available... Awesome work, CG! You've provided ample inspiration for me to get to my Easterlings and allies... All in due time.

Dwarves have never really inspired me, from a hobby point of view, that is until The Hobbit range hit the market. There are so many that inspire and these rank amongst some of the best.
Your work to capture the image of the Grimhammers is fantastic. You have made them look so good that they are on my wish list.

These aren't actually Grimhammers but actual Fallen Dwarf miniatures sculpted by MOTN from here on the forums and available through Anvil:

http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.ph ... ath=98_101

There is a similarity in look but the Fallen Dwarves actaully pre-date the Hobbit films, I'm sure there's a line about great minds that would fit just about here ;)

It's been a while since my last update but I've been a bit rough recently so painting went by the wayside however I do have something to show you.
As some of you might have already seen I commissioned a little piece with ukfreddybear and DMS which was just completed yesterday, they've done a superb job and I can't thank them enough for the time and effort they have put in.
So without further ado here is Gothmog, Lord of Balrogs:

As you can see incredible work, as for myself I'm going to get cracking on the last unit of Fallen Dwarves come Monday so will have something to show soon.

My oh my... That there is incredible!
Is it a partial conversion or a scratch sculpt?

From scratch, I have pictures of the build if Dave doesn't put them up in his thread.
