Backlog Reduction Oath

I don't think I'll have anything done for this month but thanks to this thread I've decided to go all out. Instead of painting 12 misty mountain goblins, I've decided to go with the whole lot! About halfway through all the skins so hopefully by the end of February I'll be able to report in with 30 odd goblins finished

Well, I'm a little late registering, but so far this month I've painted Thorin with Orcrist, 12 Erebor Dwarves and I'm well on my way to finishing 10 Moria Goblins, a MG Captain and a Blackshield Drum.

Next on the docket are 39 more Moria Goblins, a Drum, 4 Blackshields and Groblug. Should add a nice 500ish points to my Moria force there...

Although I've done well for my norm so far.
The Mumak, The Necromancer, Bolg, a blue Istari (Sharkey Sculpt), Saruman, and 2 Metal Scout Uruks thus far.

Heh, I've been off work this week so that really helped me along. Just about at 26 models done for the month, which is more than I did in the entirety of last year...

Well I know its not the end of the month yet but I have painted 12 army of the dead, 2 Riders of the dead, 7 wild wargs, 8 uruk-hai scouts, 1 cave troll and 8 uruk-hai pikeman for a total of 38 painted models. I painted about that much in total lat year so very successful. I purchased 24 goblins and traded spacehulk for a mumakil and another 50 plastics. Looking forward to february and will upload photos when I can. Won't be painting anything else this month me thinks. Too much outdoor work to do. Maybe it will rain and I can get some more done!

I know what you mean about outdoor work. I thought I'd get some good painting in yesterday, but my son and I ended up shoveling the snow off of our sidewalk & driveway, as well as those of some elderly gentlemen down the street. By the time we were done, we had to leave and go to a birthday party instead. Oh well!

Aye, progress has slowed to a halt for me as well sadly. Hopefully today I'll be able to get some done. The "month" ends on the 5th, is that right?

The "month" ends with the calendar month. I just wanted to give people a couple extra days to get their reports in before we tally the points for the month. I'll be posting a report template in a couple of days that everyone can copy and paste into their post so that it's easy to tabulate the points.

I'm VERY dissapointed with myself.

Painted: 2 riders of Rohan, Theoden mounted (Pelennor), Rohan captain, Gamling, 7 warriors of Rohan, Malbeth and Forlong.

Now...
Bought: 28 warriors of Rohan, 12 riders of Rohan, Theoden ft. and mtd, Theoden (warg attack), Theoden (Helm's deep), Eomer ft, Gamling ft, Eorl the young ft. and mtd, box of Rohan commanders, Hama ft, 16 Grey company rangers and a mounted Royal guard. Oh lawd.

Ohh, minor hijack, but Erunion- would you mind taking a few snaps of red box minis next to LotR minis?

Do you have any red box dwarves?

I'll get mine done shortly. I'm busting a gut to get a troll done for the monthly competition, which has really slowed down my progress this month!
