Hi All,

As I have been accused of being a 'Lurker' I would like to introduce myself and tell you a little about my tabletop Background.

I started like many others when the 'Battle games in Middle-Earth' magazines 1st came out and after the Frodo edition came out, (3rd magazine?) a friend showed me to Games-workshop there my love for the hobby and the Trilogy sky-rocketed. I started with Lotr SBG, then a little spout of 40k, then Fantasy and bouncing back and forth between the 3. Finally in 2007 I stopped collecting due to having other interests but my un-dying love for LOTR Trilogy still burned and Other works of Tolkien.

It was only until the 1st hobbit movie came out that it re-kindled my love for the tabletop hobby, So I started to find out if there where any of the old community's around. I remember finding this forum in it's infancy stage so I looked it up and I found it.

So for the past year and a bit I have been dropping in and out looking up tutorials etc. slowly building up a Gondor and a Galadhrim army. Not really feeling I could make a decent contribution I never made an account.

Until last November I decided I could join in with discussions etc, but then unemployment took me and the hobby had to go on the back-burner till I could get my feet back on the ground.

Then recently I have managed to sort my life out enough to start again, and therefor I have picked up the paintbrush and tape measure once more.

I do hope to be part of this community and join in discussions with like minded people.

Kind Regards,
:aragorn:

In my opinion, any contribution is a decent contribution. Keep posting!

Yeah welcome. Even a contribution of asking questions is good because it reminds us all or shows us rules we didnt know!

Welcome (again) to the hobby; I started -like you did- when BGiME came out. This forum has proved a great companion to the hobby for me; I hope it will prove the same to you.

I came from a similar sort of background, though from Fantasy to 40k to LotR. I too gave up collecting for quite a while but had never lost my love of Lotr or the SBG

I have found this site to be extremely helpful, dont be afraid to ask questions, even if you think they might be silly or obvious. There are a lot of very helpful and encouraging members with a great wealth of knowledge, but never make you feel foolish for asking.

and finally: Welcome back!
