Interesting conversions and choice of colours.. unfortunately the pics (except for the alst one) are quite small..
And a bit of text wouldn't hurt either ;)
But I have to say, that I quite like the skin-tone you've chosen.. makes them look very interesting, dark and "threatening"! Actually might suit them more (also movie-wise), than the red-tone in the GW scheme.

i like the model in the far left of the last picture. i like the way you used azog legs and the arm arm swaps, the best thing is that it looks natural and the painting looks good on all if them.

Azog? It looks "just" like a modified berserk to me..

Very cool army! I love urukhai scouts!

The colour scheme you chose works extremely well and the minis are nicely painted! Good job!

Bottom left is a fantastic conversion. Well thought out and expertly out together with a top notch paint job.

As with the others I have to rave over that conversion piece, it looks terrific! As does the Army as a whole, I love the Scout look, so I'm working on a scout army myself

Thank you for all of your positive comments; it drives me to continue with my armies.
I had decided to start with a scout army because not only do the models look great, but I believe the lightly armoured uruks would be involved in many more small skirmishes than the heavily armoured uruk warriors (I like to base armies and battles on fluff).

Green cloth:
I like to think the orcs dye cloth using bile because it would help with concealment.
1 - Basecoat of waaagh flesh
2 - Highlighted with rotting flesh/waaagh flesh
3 - Further highlight of rotting flesh.

Grey skin:
I like the idea that uruks are maroon when born but as their skin gets exposed to the elements it becomes thick, callused and dark grey.
1 - Basecoat of chaos black/ shadow grey
2 - Highlight with a mix of chaos black, elf flesh and shadow grey
3 - Wash with asurmen blue

You missed a small trick with the Berserker chief (I only just spotted it). I would have shaved off the skull on the 'belt' and painted a white hand motif in its place, for the sake of consistency. It is a tiny thing but worth remembering if you ever decide to add any more conversions (there is no such thing as too many orcs/uruks :) )

Some really nice conversions in this force and the rusted armour looks great on them.

Of course! A white hand on the belt would have been much better.

Whilst I'm no fan of Isengard or that weird Beserker, I did findsome of this enjoyable, good work
