This is looking really fantastic. I've allowed my Balrog to languish in a coat of primer for years, and you are making me feel guilty.

Keep it up, sir!

Looking better and better! He might not yet be finished, but is by far one of the best painted Balrogs I've seen so far!

Incredible!!!!

One minor quibble is the dark bit on the end of the tongue. The transition is a little stark I think which hinders the illusion of heat. maybe try and smooth the transition a little with a mid tone and a lighter highlight at the back of the throat end of the tongue.

The fire is really popping on this bad boy, excellent job so far including the source lighting on the base.

Updates. Having trouble getting good pictures. But here is a peek at the finished Balrog, and a Rohan Royal Guard banner bearer conversion (conversion work courtesy of Shadow and Flame)

Finally got some decent pictures of the RRG. Balrog to follow. Can't thank Dave enough for the excellent putty work on the banner.

This is an amazing miniature. Your paint job followes the putty work. Rellay nice freehand there. I also admire you balrog ad i have an old one in my room and it looks horrible. I tried to overpaint it several times but never succeeded...

That banner bearer is outstanding as is the paint job on the Balrog from what I can see, excellent work.
