Hello.
One year ago I started an army of Angmar. Very cool country, I like the landscape.
However I love the background: ghosts, trolls, orcs, wolves, men and over evil creatures all under command of the Witchking.
So the miniatures are cool, but I havn´t enough time to paint (you know the stuff: job, girlfriend, other lame excuses..). So there are just a few ones completed.
Here are some pictures:

Many miniatures are still on my table to get painted.
As you see the men of Dunland represent the warriors of Rhudaur, I´ll also use Thrydan Wolfsbane and his guards. Buhrdur, Witchking and Shade are next to some orcs, ghosts, wolves are obvious, but wait, there are more nice things in the North.
I´ll use the Half Trolls as Snow Trolls and Black Numenoreans as the warriors of Carn dum, next to the Morgul Knights. Also there will be a dragon (not from GW), orc slaves and undead wolves.

What do you think?
greetings, Rescrus

PS: I want to improve my English, if there is a mistake, pls gimme a hint.
PPS: Oh, yes.. I´m new here.

Welcome to the One Ring!

Angmar holds a special place in my heart as well. I've been working on a rather size-able Angmar army for a while, but have been side-tracked by other projects recently.

As far as your miniatures go, you've done a good job on these, from the dark, moody paint scheme to the subtle conversions. I look forward to seeing your progress!

Nice to see them here as well! I can just repeat myself, beautifull miniatures with a lot of Tolkien-flair. I hope you will get some more motivation here. (And we will see more miniatures...)

P.S.: First English lesson: "gimme" is not English, it is American English.

I would insert a comment on my fellow Americans' grasp (or lack thereof) of English, but I believe they can speak for themselves... maybe :)

As to the models I love them, especially the theme youve got going here

Thank you, I saw your army and I liked your paintjob. And now, I´m thinking of Gulavar in my army..

Indeed, it is. Trolls are quite cool. I think I´ll take a second one, but first of all the Snow Trolls.

Oh, you're here? I found HvM, but I don´t expect to see the Son of Fundin. =)
About motivation: I want also to show my miniatures to more people. So they'll get more critics and I'll get more advices for improving my paint jobs.

Well, the army consists of about 100 miniatures... so there are... 8% finished. Many things to do.

Thanks for the hint x)
So then, british mode activated.

Thank you. There are 2 more warriors of Dunland/Rhudaur with a banner. I really like to paint them free hand.
Here is also an orc rune on one of the shields (sry, picture is not the best one):

Hi there, I'm a fan of Angmar and I love what you have done with those models especially the banner and Troll. I admire the fact you've gone for all metal, no cheap project.

Do you know GW use human-painted Warriors of the Dead as Carn Dum? I did too, and since I used plastic I have 80 of them.

Welcome to the site!

That's some excellent work you have here! The painting is very well done. Especially the freehand stands out, getting the banner right must have been very hard indeed.
Great job! :yay:

Welcome to the One Ring. The banner is first class, an almost ghostly feel to it and the troll has had plenty of layers to make up that look, a very well done.

Great painting - the banner is clever!
The troll conversion works extremely well - it really looks like it is determined to pound someone right into the ground.

Hehe, I'm everywhere... :-D Have you already discovered .:Gunslinger:. as well? And improving your paint job will be a hard task...

Just a cool link I remembered. When you are looking for ideas for a hill troll, you should check this.
