Some of my better conversions I converted about 25 or so. I need to have every single one look different. It to me a long time now I just need to paint them. :time:

Now I can enter the warband painting comp. :)

Image
Archers are very easy to convert with other weapons you just need to fix up their back.
Image
Some more conversions.
Image
Awesome great sword, probably to heavy to carry.Image
some 2 handed weapon orcs, really like the one on the right.Image
The orc on the right shows I am running out of ideas for archers.Image
Good fur on the morannon orc.
Image
Awesome orc.
Image
Orc drummer. Probably my best conversion ever. I did well with the helmet I think and I love the hands I didn't expect hands to be sooo hard  . He even deserves his own scenery.

Very nice work that improves as you go rough it. I agree that the Orc drummer is your best, very very good.

Some nice conversions! Funny to see that you used a modified Easterling-helmet just as I did at one of my orc conversions ^^

I like the addition of Easterling and Numenorian armour onto some of the orcs, really reinforces the idea for me that the orcs are scavengers, and none of their commanders actually care how they're armed, as long as they've got a weapon. That flail-and-shield guy looks pretty menacing too!

Converting orcs is one of the most fun things to do in the hobby. I'm looking forward to seeing them painted!

That's What I will hopefully doing in a year and a bit when I start my own mordor force. I don't want any of those fancy black guard or numenorians, plain orcs with a smattering of morannons for me!

I like your conversions.
Personally I can never find enough ORC archers and would be looking to convert Hand held weapon warriors into archers not the other way round.
Although that is real tricky as bows are hard to sculpt being so fine and delicate.

I really like your conversions.. the drummer is way cool... could you make a horn blower?

The back of the former archer is very neatly done. Good job. With hands, all you need to remember is that they are angular and fit around a pole in a series of straight lines rather than curved all the way around.

I think those arrows might be from the Bretonnian archer kit, I know I've done the same with some of my converted Gondorian archers.

These conversions look great, I love armies where there are as few identical poses as can be. They should look even better when fully assembled and ranked up!

I might make a horn blower or banner bearer. Yeah I ran out of Ideas for the archers.

Yeah its hard to sculpt hands from scratch, it proved difficult to sculpt a hand onto a shield (which I did a few times).

It is from the Bretonnian archer kit. I have 1 box of dwarves and the archers that prove to very useful bitz pieces.

Haha lol it does look like hedge clippers from that angle, He is carrying a pick in the right hand and a bow in the left.

Orc and Morannon orc conversions are very handy, especially where you have substantial numbers of them running around. Ally that with a few variations in painting and basing and it keeps a unified theme but with the appropriately motley appearance of orcses. The one with the morningstar (spikey ball on end of chain) is appealing!
