It's questionable really, is there a stop by Warner Bros before release film release, especially of Smaug images? Maybe GW won't be allowed.

My guess is they will show certain miniatures with the main releases on the website.

Let's all hope for something.

Hmm too much a slump during the Summer sales wise i think and a nice 1 page tease at the back of Nov 2013 White dwarf , its either that or they sit on the fence till December 2013 AFTER the movie was released and show new miniatures in January releases... after everyone has been enticed by the movie. Thing is what did they do with the Hobbit , I hear there was an Ultimate Bundle £447 Announced before AUJ sometime back in Nov? I'm wondering because ive been saving for this one as i missed out on the hobbit one due to coming back to the game in June this year. Way i see it , if i cant collect the LOTR , ill damn well collect all the The Hobbit.

I would say that its blatantly obvious that they will repeat what they did last year. Also we have seen Smaug and his image is no longer under wraps.

Not a Smaug model being under wraps but the film version. I am sure that there will be a Smaug model probably by Easter. Something on the scale of the Mumak.

I doubt we'll see a thing of substance till next year at this point except a starter box for the holidays. How many WD issues have we been with no hobbit/rings content now, as an aside? Three I think.

I can't say as I mind, my middle-earth fires have cooled a little for the time being so I can focus on my WH40k projects, and I know they won't be able to stay that way as soon as we start getting attention again - and then my project schedules will get all derailed, and my wallet will start bleeding. ;)

I hope that in the new year in addition to releasing miniatures they also make some new scenery kits. The goblin one was cool, and I'd like to see more stuff with more variety. If we get any creepy ruins out the the Dol Goldur scenes I'll be ecstatic, but I won't hold my breath for that.

I have to say that Dol Guldur Ruins would be fantastic, particularly if they were modular and could combine into a maze!

I'd put money on an early December release but no smaug until at least next august.
