Excellent work and the conversion looks seamless :D
Superb basing and painting on top of that, if you went into mass production you could give GW a run for their money :yay:

Nice conversion! When I saw the first photos I thought his body would be too tall for the pony, but seeing the mini painted now lets me think different! :)

Good job! Painting and basing are superb as well!
Do you have a photo with frontview maybe? :)

That's a great conversion, to the point where you can't tell its actually a conversion.

Thank you very much gentlemen, I am stunned by your comments it's pleasure to read, lots of good words :-D They are giving me motivation for another projects.

Now, i'm thinking about a conversion, of new plastic Eagle. Unfortunately, transparent stick broke, so i want to make a lading effect. Here's my idea:

I really dont know how to combine them :/

I like the idea of the statue. 8)

The clear plastic stands have always been a problem. GW used to sell the stands. I have not looked to see if they still do. You can repair the base by pining it back to the model. The statue can also be pined to the birds foot. Because the statue is hollow use a very long pin and attach it all the way to the base. If you use a plastic base it will need to be a big one so the model will not fall over.

I broke my camera so I had to find an old photo.
I like to use wood bases. I drill a hole for the plastic rod from the hobby shop and make a hole to match in the model. This model is lead so the base needs to be large and heavy. It is possible to drill a hole for a wire in the clear rod if a large hole is not desirable.

Love the Thorin conversion, might be stealing that idea! I did notice though, doesn't he now have 2 sheaths? One on his back and one on his side, from the Merry portion of the components.

Also, I noticed your warriors of Erebor with spears also have shields. Is this an option from the box, or did you get these elsewhere?

Nice stuff
VG

Great conversion, so good it looks as if it was cast this way.

Lovely conversion, really nice and natural looking, Thorin charging on a Pony with Orcrist, that's gonna get some kills!

P.S. Nice work on the Raddy paint job too, don't think I'd swung by since you'd painted him - lovely job on the white horse, very tricky to pull off.

The sheath on his side is on the Thorin model, it's meant to be for his dwarf sword. Thein has taken his plastic dwarf sword and modelled it into the sheath. The sheath on his back is for Orcrist which he's holding. I think anyway!

VictoryGin- nice spot! He has three sheath, one from orcrist, one from dwarf sword and a little one under the ropes from the Merry portion of the components. It was really hard to cut off so i left it ;)

Plastic dwarf have 12 shields in the box :)

That was the aim. I'm really glad that you guys like him so much :)

Dr. Grant- yeah white horse is really tough to paint. In the middle of the paiting i I thought to myself "what the hell have you done! it was better to paint the horse in brown..." but it turned out that it is not so bad :)
