so i bought this isengard troll and assembled it and pretty much finished painting it. because you need to use glue to stick the two body parts together the gap lines around the whole body are pretty obvious. i already saw it at the stage of assembly but thought i could use paint to cover it up later, but it doesn't do anything...any help? thanks.

OR maybe i should regret for not using enough muscles to stick the two parts together in the first place lol.

Liquid green stuff (sold by GW) can fill out the line. Maybe thin it down with water.

Hope it helps :)

Vallejo also sell a very cheap plastic putty (looks and feels like thick PVA glue). In you're British, then you can find it in Boyes stores.

Liquid GS is for very small gaps and the bubbles in resin miniatures - it won't do a thing for a gap the size of the ones you get down the sides of the troll kit. You need actual green stuff for that.

As Raukov has said - USE NORMAL GREEN STUFF. The liquid will just run off and be wasted, the normal stuff is easy to use - just mix a few millimeters of the blue and yellow together til its green then apply it to the model so it just covers it. Use a knife to cut off the extra bits which overlap and use a sculpting tool or blunt side of a knife to blend it in if you can.

Ouch.. a bit of a nightmare to attempt a cleanup on a model after you've painted it but its all a learning curve i guess. You could try filing the lines down a little and then use a little green stuff to conceal the worst affected areas.

I use copious amounts of green stuff on the gaps and try to make 'scales' and armours etcetera to hide it even more. The I glued the bodies I had the damned things clamped and elastic banded together hoping that would do the trick by itself.
