It's a guy in robes looking menacing with a sword... it could be any of them :?

I like 'em, Hashut. You've done really well to make them all tie in to look easterling-y... really liking the conversions :yay:

Guess games workshop got it wrong then...

SouthernDunedain: You've seriously never used a model to be another model? I had this one, needed a foot Khamul and thought it'd look nice painted up and used as him. Anyone I'm playing against having a problem with that when he's clearly Khamul in an all Easterling force and having had it mentioned to them isn;t someone I'd be particularly fond of playing, to be honest. But glad you like the conversion on the troll - simple as it is, I think it works (a little clipping on the helm for "bunny ears", a pinch of greentsuff on his spear to make a pike, same for the sword to falchion and some greentsuff [which could've been done better, but wasn't :P ] on the shield).

SidtheSloth: Thank you very much, glad you like them ^^ Relatively simple, but helps tie everything together, I feel :D

Some WIP shots of my Autumnal Wood Elves or "Woody Wood Elves"

I used a Brown spray paint from B&Q to undercoat, which I use for most of my LotR models:

Here they are with some base colours:

Some more colours and highlights:
Image

And more or less complete, apart from the objective markers which I finished later that evening, just haven't got a shot of them yet...

Will take some final shots tomorrow in daylight.

C&C most welcome :)

Nope, if I want to use a model, I generally go out and buy said model. For example, I need Cirion so today I ordered him and madril (even though I didnt need Madril).

Anyway back on topic. Here is a quick WIP of my orcs. Nice long session tomorrow to get them finished (hopefully)

Fantastic entries by everyone so far. Warband challenges are certainly popular. I've finished my Hunter Orcs. Overcast today so couldn't get a decent photo of them altoghether. You can see the base at least - I did this from scratch too.

I converted one of the orcs to be the captain (sculpted and added a saddle-bag). Actually, I added extra weapons and bits (pouches, daggers, bed rolls) to all minis. I know I'm only allowed 6 photos so please take the first 6 DMS :). I've included an extra 2 here at the end to prove I did a conversion for the captain and to show one of the minis from the back. Some extra photos in my WIP thread.

Some very unique warbands and well painted miniatures this month, very well done. I completed mine last night by finishing off Durin and Mardin. I've left the bases without detail so they fit with the rest of my dwarf force.

Yay! :yay:

So many great new entries!

@BizarreWarstar: Love your dwarves! Really nice colour choice for those Dwarves. Especially like Durin's cloak!

Are those Vallejo paints? Looks a lot like you used some of their WWII uniform colours on those. Really like that look. The drab colours add a lot of flavour to the models...

Well - finally got my Arnor to a complete stage:

Image

Its just a shame the camera doesnt do them justice... usually my iphone is OK. Perhaps I'll try some more tomorrow if it's sunny.
