1. If I'm rolling 6/5 to wound but armed with a lance what do I need to wound?.
2. If i decided to chanel a spell do I have to declare it before or after rolling to see if I can cast the spell?.
Page refs would be great Thanks :-D

You have to declare you are channeling BEFORE you roll to cast, meaning it is rarely worth it unless you are certain/you have some form of free might. A lance gives you +1 on your rolls to wound (when charging on a mount), meaning if you need a roll of 6/5+ then it becomes 5/4+

Heroic channeling also has to be declared in the priority phase (after dice are rolled) like heroic moves. Only difference is that you do your channeled spell in your movement phase. So dont call one if your wizard, shaman is in danger of being charged.

Thanks for your quick replies much appreciated , it doesn't sound like channeling is very good then , there seems a lot of cost ( x amount of will plus might ) for a move which may not even work . When would you ever use it ?
