Looks great Dave. What you call a week's knock-off, I couldn't achieve in my wildest (and yes, they are quite wild) dreams.

Isn't 4,5 cm a bit on the large side though?

Yeh I probably have got a bit carried away with the size. 40 would have been plenty. That would be the same as Bolg. I just envisioned Big Daddy being even more intimidating.

Oh my giddy aunt ...

This is a great model, and the face is outstanding.

Bows slightly.

Looks awesome Dave. Bulking out the chest was a nice improvement too. I really like the Thror's head sculpt too. Adds so much extra character to the model! :yay: Now get on with other projects

It looks fantastic! :yay: I wish I could sculpt like that... Now I'm hoping GW's Azog will be released soon.

He looks cool but I still think there's something not quite right with his chest, it's much better now with a bit of bulk but I think it needs more tone and it extends too far down.
I did a quick photoshop on him below to try and show what I mean, I also scaled his top half down a bit as he seemed a little top heavy, but don't get me wrong it's a good sculpt that I couldn't even attempted in my wildest dreams.

I Agree with you there about the chest, but still an amazing sculpt

Ah well. Thats what happens when you rush things I guess. It was just a bit of last minute fun to throw in for the compy. :)
I'm not spending any more time on it. Lots more to be getting on with. ;)

There's the thing, that was a quick job! You've got a hell of a talent and looking forward to seeing him painted.

That is one great piece, as I knew it would be, a great looking Azog. He should be scale equivalent of 7 foot like his son Bolg by the way. Nicely done :yay:

Ok I did not realize he was only supposed to be 7 foot tall? I was trying to work it out from the movie stills in which he looks to me almost twice the height of a dwarf.

If anything I would say my version is a little undersized in the bulk department.

The dwarf against him was about 4 feet, the angle makes him look 8 feet. Azog is probably 7 1/2 actually anyway, and his Warg more than 10 feet long I think.

That goblin looks awesome. Is that Thrall's garb that you gave him or something you just made up?=)
