Elrond could use a better paint job on his face. But he still looks great. I really like the look of Yazneg. Almost want to buy him just to use as Azog til the real Azog comes out.

Darn, I've just noticed someone posted links to the real pics.

I'm digging that Yazneg.

Interested in everything bar Yazneg and Radagast. Y is a great model but I'm not mad on the concept, and I have plastic Radagast which will do me fine. If the shipping offer is extended to Ireland I'll definitely buy it all up.

I really like every single release! I prefer this Radagast than to the bonus one in the escape from goblin town set. We can see that Azog digitally replaced Yazneg and so Yazneg's role was greatly scaled down.

Well I want two boxes each of the Knights and the Dwarves. Everything else can go hang, really. Might convert myself up a captain of the Gundabad hunter orcs, too.

You can see Elrond on Pg 231 and 175

I agree, the pricing on the knights is ridiculous. I love the Yazneg model though, shame the mounted model cant be used for anything.

Why can't the mounted version be used? Just say that the "lance" is a 2handed weapon. I get the feeling that Elrond would look better with a better paint job.

Because a lance doesnt get -1 on the Duel roll? I think I sense an Azog conversion coming on as that was who he was supposed to be anyway.

But why would you say it can't be used for anything? I was just saying that if you want to use him as a regular captain, you can just say it's a 2handed weapon.

Okay, Yazneg WAS NOT meant to be Azog!! The toys and stuff of him and Bolg were meant as RED HERRINGS, as to not lose the suprise of the plot twist, in which Azog survives!!! PJ didn't want to give that away, did he?? Oh, and to anyone who moans about 'crappy cgi Azog', Azog was done in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY as Serkis played Gollum!! In one of them funny all body suits, with the lights and whatnot!! The actors name is Manu Bennett!! He stands over 7 feet tall!!!! Okayyy??!? Rant over :-D

pinch the photo from the GW website?

Here is the link to the GW site which has lots of pictures however I urge you to order from greendragon.

Sadly that would mean a lawsuit as it's their I.P. However I've been told I'm quite welcome to paint up my own examples. Glancing at my backlog that err... that may take a while.

And yes it will all be shipped next Fri/Sat so you'll get it fairly soon :)

Leonardis, I could look into getting these in as a special order if you like? PM me later if interested and I'll dig out the relevant spreadsheets (SO MANY SPREADSHEETS!)

Oh Btw... something about Warriors of Chaos or something...

Anyone able to give a size comparison between the new finecast Gwahir and the new plastic eagles? Or are they the same?

I wonder if someone in the community could do some of the painting for you in return for, oh, I dunno, a small discount and a bit of exposure? Maybe a One Ring/GDG painting competition? The winner of every month gets a 10% off code? The winning image gets used on your website to sell the piece.

It's an idea.

Manu Benett?? I just googled him and he plays CRIXUS in Spartacus: Blood and Sand!!! I like Azog a heck of a lot more now. I can't wait for his model to be released.

They replaced Yeznag with Azog

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oWJD5lFQB0

You can tell in the video, it was a late decision to change from actor to motion capture

They only changed the character design; I suppose they must have thought the smaller actor (John Rawls) was too weedy for such an imposing character. But my point still stands! MOTION CAPTURE with the guy from spartacus, not 'awful cgi'. It was even Manu's voice!
