I don't remember seeing it or, if I did, wasn't really anything I coul add. My main reason for popping on this forum is really for that roleplay, tbh.

Sorry for wondering off again, college happened :( I have no/little clue where i planned on taking the rp anymore. We could start afresh with a new crowd or we could try to continue, either way it'll be a while before i come up with anything to add to our current one :(

To be honest, I think you were at a point where you weren't 100% on how it would progress anyway, lol. Doesn't help with people dropping in and out left, right and centre, hahaha. Let me know what ya decide either way.

I'm afraid starting over'll be the best option for us all. We could do something like the Moria expedition, recovery of the blue mountains or something like that

I'm not great at planning a story, especially for LotR. I'll happily take part. I think a Moria Reclamation might be quite cool, although almost all combat. I wrote a Battlehost for WotR for Moria Reclamation actually.

Then we quite have a plan, if the others agree. But, that gives us a few problems: first of all, we get the problem that, without intervention of fate, the dwarves'd never let men (except for the ones of dale) or any other races in the expeditionary army. This problem can easily be solved by making people of other races join just after they leave Erebor.
The second problem is that reclaiming a mine'll be very difficult with say 6 men, so we need to have a couple of dwarven warbands. These should be controlled by the threadmaster or the commanders.

Aside of those small already solved problems I see nothing to concern about. I myself am going to use Ragnar again, as his background included participating in the expedition.

Might be an idea for it to be a smallish warband (a regiment or two of warriors), with the main characters just being the ones we learn more about. I.E. They may have specialist roles or just be basic warriors or what-have-you, we just learn more about them thn the rest of the troops heading over.

Then, if anyone wants to use his veto, he should do that before tommorowevening, as I, or anyone else who'd like to be the threadmaster, am going to post the new rpg thread by then. What do you think of this name? The unofficial LOTR RPG thread: The Reclamation of Moria

HELL YEAH! 8)
So, what should we do with entering characters? I think I'm going to add something beneath the first post like: Dwarfs or Men of dale, or even other races disguised as men of dale are allowed to enter immediately, others should wait till just after the company has left. I'm thinking of adding this because it doesn't sound quite logical the dwarves caal upon elves or other men than the dale ones in a mission to reclaim their home, or am I wrong in this?

I don't know enough about Middle-Earth to say, but I'd recommend having non-Dwarfs (regardless) send you a PM with their character and you let them know if they have provided sufficient reasoning to start at the Dwarfhold.

Well that is a very good way to make sure everything happens like it would happen in Middle Earth. Thank you for the idea 8) . Then lets hope many people will join or rejoin in the new thread.
