So - I thought I would start a WIP post to join all you others and to help keep me motivated...

So here goes, currently on the table is:
1. Mordor Uruk Hai - so far I have based, primed and painted the metal areas:

Oooh! Brilliant painting skills, nicely based and LOTS of them - that's the sort of armies I like.

Cheers Dorth! I'm hoping this will motivate me to finish those Uruks! I have purposely made the basing on them rocky so that it will look like the ground of spider pass - perfect for my Cirith Ungol army:-)
Might be able to do a battle between Shagrats boys and gorbags morgul rats!

 You sure have an Uruk horde! Not many people use Uruks nowadays. It seems that the dish of the day are Morannon. It's nice to see someone who devotes so much time to these brutes :-D

Nice Mordor Uruks. I stopped at 27 metals and just went to plastics. I also admire your decision to painting them all at once, it's something I and many others like doing, plus without doing so, there is no way that you Mr Leonardis sir, will get through painting all your models. ALso, how come you don't have any of the Mordor Uruk-hai 2 blisters?

Haha I love it! Have loads of morannon painted, check out my blog - just waiting for my 24 black guard and command to arrive :-) and the reason I only have uruks from pack1 is all down to what was cheap on eBay!

OK - so I have refurbished the gondor troops - here is a before of one of the poorly painted and broken warrior... (just another couple hundred to get through, but one step at a time)

Image

And after some work, painting and careful patching 3 war bands of Gondor...

Image

Next on the table (with my Modor Uruks) is my Morannon command (Gothmog already painted):

And two war bands of Mordor Black Guard with command:

Along with a second captain conversion!:

Now I just need to base, prime and paint them all!!!

Enjoy.

Love the Black Guard models, they look very old school, as if they are part of some old Christos Achilleos artwork!
Anyway, you're gonna do a grand job, the Gondorians look great! Keep the pics coming!

Cheers guys - I post some more pictures once they're based and primed and work is under way.

After our battle last night I really want to paint up some fountain and citadel guard... But will have to stay focused for now on these Mordor troops :-)

Ok all my Uruks are painted - I will post some photos later.

Now I can't decide what to paint next?
Do I:
1. Gondor Ilithien guard 3 warbands of foot, 2 of archers with command, banners and knight of white tower, 12 knights led by Faramir capt of Ilithien with mnt banner (blue cloth and shields with gold trim and tree)
or
2. 2 warbands of Arnor with king and command, 2 warbands of grey/rangers of north with Arathorn and halberd might purchase some hobbits to add to this army
or
3. 2 warbands of fountain guard with Boromir of white tower (ft & mnt), 2 warbands of citadel guard with spears led by beregond and captain, 2 warbands of citadel archer led by denethor and peregrin and 12 metal mounted citadel guard? Plus banner ft and mounted?
Or
4. 2 warbands of Osgilaith vets with command and cirian, 24 rangers led by madril, Faramir and Damrod - 2/3 warbands of womt
What do you think?
