Hello,

Do you guys have a good idea if their are any other models that i could use for ruffians? From other manufacturers for instance? It would be nice if they do actually look similair (themed). Havent found any.

And do you think it is to much to hope for that GW might bring out a plastic hobbits set with the new release? (or maybee also even plastic ruffians).

Tnx!

you might want to search http://wargamesfoundry.com/

they have miniatures over a lot of eras so you could find any models similar to the ones you want. From a quick search I would say that the pirates models maybe ok for you(if you can find some without guns :P )

Old Glory's revolting peasants series has some ruffian-like miniatures:

They are 25 mm so they might be a bit smaller than LotR ruffians.

Check these guys out. You can build them without shields or with alternate weapons.

The Corsairs of Umbar could be substituted as that. I often substitute them as Wild Men of Dunland.

I was just about to post that same link.

These guys would be great for ruffians. Most of them are topless but that shouldn't be too bade. These guys are high quality and are very cheap.

I have a box set which I am going to turn into Men of Dunland.
