I saw that WF has this: (http://wargamesfactory.com/webstore/individual-sprues-and-bases/s041-persian-infantry) deal on, and I thought it might be a good way to get some cheap guys to convert into corsair reavers, or other random harad type guys. However, I don't know how they form up next to lotr guys. Has anyone bought these specific guys? How are they? Pictures by haradrim for scale comparison would be great. :E

thanks :)

the persians seem very similar to your haradrim. But I cant find anywhere the scale of the persians models. Are they 28mm minis or they are sorter?
If they are 28mm then I think that for 2,5$ and 12 minis, you got yourself a very good deal!!!

Exactly. If they are comparable in scale, it's a superb deal compared to GW prices.

If I were you I would send a mail to them asking for the scale of the models. Getting a picture of haradrim and comparing it with the persians might lead to false conclusions.

Having both Haradrim models, corsairs and Wargame factory models, I can confirm that they are both the same scale

I got 3 free sprues at a convention a few months back and turned half into Watchers of Karna and half into Serpant Guards. While they are the same scale, their heads are about 50% larger than the LotR Haradrim heads. They stand out quite a bit. As a side note, they don't come with circular bass, so you'll need to have a few extra bases lying around.

I also used the big shields to give my GotFC shields and D7.

Okay, thanks for the heads up. I have changed my strategy somewhat, and I am now planning on converting them into khandish warriors. If they make up the whole army, it will be harder to tell that their heads are larger. And besides, different races have larger or smaller heads, so maybe khand guys just have larger heads than haradrim....

That's not racist. :P One of the head options actually looks almost identical to the Khandish heads.

I don't have a camera, so sorry. I bought a box of Viking Huscarls from Wargames Factory last week at a convention, 32 for $16, and I'm going to make them into 2 Dunlending chiefs, 24 Dunlendings with shields and 6 Rohirrim. Their heads aren't anywhere near as big as the Persians, but the poses are still kinda wierd.

Here's a scale shot. As you can see it's mainly the heads that are taller. I don't think they will stand out that much as the difference is only about 1/2 head.

Ardboe, were you wanting any other pictures specifically? I will put up pictures of what I convert them into in my wip thread....

You also cut the base off of them I see. I didn't feel like doing that, so mine are a bit taller than that.
