Looking forward to seeing what you come up with...took me forever to find a scheme I liked.

A stunning piece, islestaggerholm, words hardly do it justice. An amazing piece, top tp bottom. Very Middle-earthy, and well-executed and thought out. I applaud you: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Here is a preview/color test for my Dwarven army. Definitely doing yellow--loving it. Not sure on the purple. I chose it due to its complimentary nature on the color wheel to yellow . . . but I'm not sold. Thoughts?

*Edit I am the worst photographer ever. ... ARGH!

I'd go yellow and blue over yellow and purple...a nice royal blue should work nicely alongside the yellow. :)
Love the use of the Scibor base, but it looks like he is about to take a nose dive.

Your seeing seat is amazing! Top quality display piece I would expect to see in a GW or for purchase.

I know its become my old hat, but if I could take an image worth a dirty clipped toe nail it would look even better. So frustrating.

Thank you, quite the compliment. That's the type of project that I love . . . If anyone is interested I have the molds and could pop a couple more out--not including the invisible Frodo of course. Think it makes for a nice objective marker for scenarios, or of course for display.

As with many of you, I was pinked last week but not by choice. I have decided to use my powers and imagination to exact revenge (and perhaps to help a good cause along the way. Below you will see a picture of a Furby that I have sculpted and have molded.

Image

Now that I have set the scene here is my quest; DMS and his partner have turned us pink. This Terrain Challenge is DMS' first big venture as a Ringwraith. I think we should turn this into a Furby Wonderland Scenic Challenge. I am pledging my scenic skills and my vote to the person that creates the best Furby playground (the pinker, the fru-fruier the better). Moreover, if you donate 5 pounds or more to the chariety drive on this website, then I will send you a casting of the furby that I have sculpted. If you do 10 pounds I will hand paint it for you. There is no limit to how often I will do this . . . if you want 4 furbies donate 20 pounds. I will pay shipping and handling as well as all material costs (they will be cast in two part resin). Lets turn this thread and challenge into DMS' worst nightmare, exact some revenge, and help a good cause all at the same time.

*If you have already donated please send me a PM and let me know and I will send your Furbies on their merry little way. Honor code will be respected. Wave 1 of revenge commence!

Batch painting my Dwarves for the BBB tournament. They are shaping up awesome. Here is one of my "Captains" he is emblematic of the rest of the army, though a bit farther along. The troupes main color is yellow, the Captains have blue or purple accents, and the troops have brown accents. They primary metallic color is silver, as it is spectacular with the yellow. Pictures to come once they move past the stage. But for now here is the captain a bit farther along than last you saw him. . . probably best eyes on a small model I have ever done. Has me energized.

Painting looks great Jake tho picture quality is letting you down mate. Try taking the model outside in the daylight - somewhere not in direct sunlight but with that overcast day kind of light if you get what i mean and photograph him again with a piece of white or plain coloured paper behind him. Paint job deserves a better pic. Once you get a feel for the lighting conditions for pictures mate you'll never look back.

Once again great job so far - now get outside and get a better pic so we can take a look at those eyes .... the dwarfs not yours :P
