Hi Guys

About time I started one of these. I'm supposed to be painting gundabads but get distracted easily. Link to my album is below but I'll post a couple of pics on here of some finished (or nearly finished) work. As always, tips and constructive critisicm are always welcome. Looking at other peoples WIPs I know my standard isnt nearly as good as some but I try and at the end of the day if they look cool when i look at them, I'm happy. (warning pictures may be blurry)

aye, managed to find one bnib on ebay for £35. Absolute steal imho.

Great work on the mini's Sam! The armor is looking good, however I would maybe tone down the blue, as it's very vibrant at the moment. Legolas looks pretty damn good there - nice basing too.

Nice work. These are some of the better GW sculpts.

Here is a little advice on photos to everyone, especially those participating in the monthly competitions: check out your camera/phone's minimum focal distance and make sure you stay at or beyond that. That way you will always be in focus. Bear in mind that zooming in on something can increase the minimum focal distance (for example, on a 28-200mm lense used on DSLR and film cameras, at 28mm you can get close, around 150mm distance whereas zooming focal length to 200mm your minimum distance might be 1500mm). Since you want the posted image to be mostly the mini as the subject, use some sort of editing software to crop the picture.
Try to take pictures in the best light available, against a neutral background.

We enjoy seeing minis, WIP's, conversions and terrain. But it is sooo much better when they are in focus and bright enough to see the details and colours.

Wow, what I wouldn't do for 5 minutes of rain here (I live on a fresh water island and we are having a drought...go figure that one out)...it was 95 and super muggy yesterday. Today it might rain, but it will probably blow over like it has for the last two months.

Sorry for the lack of updates, hopefully the above picture is a good enough excuse. Back on wednesday and have about 15 gundabads to paint by the sunday...never painted jet-lagged before.

Back now and ready (ish) to resume painting. Currently watching the two towers to try and gather inspiration. Anyways, while I attempt to take decent photos, here is a old one of my dragon. Base isnt done in this pic and tbh that is a good thing xD

Looks great!

Though, from what I see here, I can say you can do a better job at painting Rumil's hair.

A drybrush here and there or a highlight maybe.
