The purpose of this poll is to determine which of the above categories will be the theme of the September Painting Challenge. The poll will run until 23:46PM on August 31st GMT.

* Parent and Child - this would consist of a parent and their child (for example Boromir and Denethor, Paladin and Peregrin, Arathorn and Aragorn etc).

* Warbands - eligible entries would be any legitimate warband based on the updated SBG rules.

* Finecast - this would allow for any model to be entered as long as a proof photo is provided at the start of the challenge showing that it is a finecast model.

warbands for me too. Have so many WoMT to paint so this 'should' be a good reason to do it.

would it have to be a full 12 model warband or could it just be small?

Between parent & child and warbands for me. I'll go against the tide and throw my vote in for the former :)

I've voted for parent and child.

You would all pick bloody warbands as soon as I've got over halfway painting about 4-5 bloody warbands. >_<

A warband is 12 warrior models + a leader?

I vote warbands as we all need to do at least 1. My Royal guard 10 foot + Theoden should do the trick.

Part II to my question...what would constitute a Hobbit/Shire warband or a Dunedain (Grey Company) warband?

Possibly one of the hardest war bands to do well. Lots and lots of intricate detail.

I was thinking limit it to twelve models, and minimum 8 - that way you can represent a Grey Company with a Hero, two Dunedain, and 8 Rangers.

I think I'll probably vote for Parent and Child, although I'm still deciding between that and warbands. I can do any of these at the moment, have, a finecast Dragon, Groblog and some Goblins I want to paint up for my Moria army, and then Theoden & Theodred for Rohan.

Well I'm guilty, I haven't actually got any of the warbands rulebooks yet so I don't actually know the rules. I just added it as an option as it seemed to be quite a popular want from the community. As a result I'll let you all discuss how you would like the requirements to be for that category and the most popular/most logical choice will be picked.
