Hi all

I would really, really like to have a mounted Gandalf but I can't buy anything for ages because I have no cash :(
so I was thinking about converting one from the MoM Gandalf and a spare horse
so here's a bunch of questions:
do you think this is a very good subject to convert?
do you think its possible?
do you think its worth it?

I'm a bit worried about sculpting the ripples in gandalf's robe are there any good sculpters who could give me some advice?

Thanks in advance :)

ehm, well, I'd take the horse, cut off everything below Gandalf's torso, pick the legs of some other rider, then first put a thin layer of greenstuff over it, and sculpt folds etc(try to continue the folds from the upper body)

I used a MoM Gandalf and the old Gandalf the White on horse to make a mounted Gandalf the Grey. It was a simple conversion, although looks a little odd as the horse is moving fast and Gandalf looks quite static! The old GtW on shadowfax is often very cheap on ebay. I might even have a spare kicking around if you want to work out a trade.
