LOL also means "laugh out loud". In the glory days when the web was only a tiny part of the internet, AOL users were still contained within their little zone and gopher and ftp were common tools it was right below "rolling on the floor laughing and scaring the cat" ( ROFLASC ) on ack'ing someone's humor.

Not to hijack (this will be deleted anyway), but why is superglue called CA glue?

I think..its because super glue is primarily made of Cyanoacrylate ester... not exactly sure though.

Really I would change the title of this discussion to "The Site's Shortcut Acronyms", just so that noobs who are lost with terminology do find this post easier. And wtf is up with WYSIWYG!?! I've always wondered what's the meaning of that and now I find out that it's a sentence, lame.

This is a great resource! Thanks for setting this up Farmer Giles, I'd give you some coins but I don't know what happened to my coins in this new site version. :-X

What abot Skirmish? I now, this isn't realy a shortcut, but most beginners don't now that it's the ordinary strategy battle game.

Mighty.Uruk: Before the hack there was this system of gold coins that you could use to 'buy' items and so the more items you had the higher your 'rank'(that thing next to posts that says "wayfarer' or "kinsman" etc.). If you wrote an article, and it got published, then you would get some, or someone might donate one or more to you for giving them a helpful tip.
