I wouldn't say so, at least you could be broke after buying them :)

Every army on the list has at least 1 unit that seems a little stronger than others

You are right.
With one exception, elves - unless you count their heroes too.

What actual physical fig you use has nothing whatsoever to do with how that unit performs in the game. It shouldn't matter whether you are converting powerful units or weak units.

Now, if someone wants to complain about someone USING overpowered figs, that I can understand and is probably a different subject, but to complain when someone converts a powerful unit so they can save some money but be OK when someone does the same thing with a weak unit is just hypocritical.

I don't know Forogttenlore, if someone is lazy enough to let their list do all the fighting for them them then they are perhaps lazy enough to to convert those figs only in the most token manner.

There is converting, then there is converting.

NotLegolasJustTipsy, yes to a degree but in some cases it is "Men of Minas Tirith have 1pt higher defense than Men of Numenor" and in some cases it is "Why not ally in a Mumak or a Hero with the Darkness list, three mastery levels, Epic Strike, and the ability to bounce all hits back to the enemy on a 5+". Those cases are the same in one respect, yet different.

And there are better and worse Elven troops. For starters, if you have a bow but not an Elven Cloak, please do not turn up for battle, you are not wanted in this Elf's army.

So really it's all about spending lots and lots of money rather then the actual game? It's far far easier to simply BUY every figure out there, then it is to spend evening after evening working on molding / Adapting and painting an army.

Buying the 'right figs' or not has nothing to do with it. That doesn't materially matter to anyone outside GW stores. Not even the GW players, not to mention all the rest of the wargamers, at any normal club would even bat an eye-lid. I think there is a presumption in the WOTR list balancing that metal Rares constitute a kind of premium content that will restrict more effective troops to those that can pay the laughable prices they charge but I don't think that is really all that relevant to an individual's choices.

The question all LOTR players should really be asking themselves, and this is just a suggestion based on my experience with the game, is "how satisfying am I going to find this army in the long-run?" It's a pretty personal matter but I'd suggest that lists like MIsty Mountains definitely don't need any extra help with their combat effectiveness. Some things do just make the game a little too easy - and we all know we don't need any extra help vs our opponents, right?

Lol, perhaps  Here is a summary of frequent list advice I made once in pictorial form:
Image
You can always take heroes out once you learn the ropes but it would be gutting to have to sub out millions of Goblins that you painstakingly converted!

So your saying don't convert them, just use them as normal goblins and learn to use my army with just goblins instead of Gundabads? By doing this my victory's will be even more sweet

Druzhag's special ability to summon beasts, 1 - if he uses 1 might point to summon say wargs, u roll a D3 and depending on the roll summon either 1,2 or 3 companies?
2 - Are these new companies? Ones that were not included in your points list at the beginning of the game?
3 - finally could he use say 3 might points at the start of his move phase with the possibility of summoning a max of 9 companies? Or is it just 1 might point per move phase with his summon special ability?

The Companies summoned are "new". They are not included in your point cost, so if you are playing a 1000point game with him, and you have maxed out your force, you could potentially have over 1300 points in play (rough estimate of 35pt / Spider *3 Companies *3 Might).

As for doing more than one per turn, it would depend on how the rule is written. I believe it is phrased to the effect of "may spend a point of might to summon". That would mean one per turn. If it says "may spend might to summon. For each point spent..." or something similar then you could do all three at the same time.

What do you think to this army as a start off to building a MM army list?

9C - Moria Prowler War band -Betrayer included
9C - Gundabad Blackshields - Druzhag included

4C Wargs - Warg Chieftain included
4C Wargs - Warg Chieftain included

1 - Cave Troll
1 - Cave Troll

What is that like? As iv said I have never played or played against a MM army so any advise / Help really appreciated

Break up the prowlers into smaller formations. With Prowlers you want them to get around the flanks and 9 companies is not at all maneuverable.

And second the comment that you also want to include Durburz, for what he has he is a crazy cheap and very good epic hero.

Agreed. I'd put Durburz in with Druzhag or you're going to find your beastcaller dueled and dead before you know it.

Also, as posted above the prowlers will probably work better as two smaller formations. Prowlers have their advantage getting behind the enemy. You will find that large formations can be manipulated more easily on the battlefield. Anything with Master Pathfinders is going to be better and getting around but you can still be blocked by other forces. A formation that’s 3-4 companies in size can get around much easier. This isn’t to say you want to keep your big Epics in a small formation, but if you are going to use Prowlers you may be short changing yourself on their abilities in a big formation.
