Got what I'm going to do planned, I just need to get some realistic water for the base. I'm planning on using the Death of Gothmog Aragorn on a resin dockside base to represent when he charges the orcs just after unboarding the corsair ship. Hopefully it looks like I see it in my head :P

My mounted King Elessar arrived today. Need to get some putty to fill the gap in his waist, but hopefully I can get started soon.

Wow. All the entries so far look great. I particularly like Cyndra's. I've made a bit more progress with mine. Hopefully will post some pics this weekend. It's awesome so many people are joining this challenge!

I always thought the MoM aragorn pose was very wierd and a bit static. the MoM legolas was a bit stale too, he seems to be staring ahead

Made some more progress. It felt like he should have something in his left hand so I did a minor conversion and added a flag from a knight of minas tirith - just to demonstrate his true allegiance. I also think I will do a scenic base. Cut and sanded the timber today and found a rock in the backyard that I've started to paint. Will add some grass, bushes etc for a woodland feel. Not sure what to do with the sword. I might make my first attempt at NMM.

Proof I only just started the base!

Still need to add the bottom half of the flag pole.

Looking good edge. I look forward to seeing how the scenic base turns out.

Looking great, everybody. I'll post my proof pic this afternoon so I can participate in this one, as well.

My proof pic. The kingy still in three pieces. Got me a pack of green stuff today. First time I'm using it, hope this doesn't turn too interesting.

I've ordered a few of those display bases now :) Do you know if they sell the 25mm Base inserts for the display base seperately or know of anywhere I can get them?

I bought another Aragorn the King blister (rotk) from the Middle-earth weekend at Sarehole, Birmingham for £2. My BGiME one was miscast and aragorn had a pinhead!

Shame about the miscast but still that's a good price. Where there many minis that cheap at this weekend?

Sorry it's a little blurry, but I snapped a quick pic with my phone. It's just the proof picture, so I figured it's not a big deal. I decided to use the Attack at Weathertop Aragorn, with the flaming brand removed. I think it's an improvement.
