As I'm constantly adding to my ever growing collection of GWs The lord of the Rings miniatures in an attempt to gauge how abscessed I am with the hobby, please take a moment to fill out the poll above.

My collection is between 500-600 models with 200 of them being painted. I hope to be done purchasing most of my wishlist by the end of this year, so I'll be just left with buying 2 Mumakils & Mordor Troll in the future. I can wait for The Hobbit models to come out. I'll gladly wait two years, I have a whole backlog of Lotr models to paint through.

I probably just barely top 500, which is what I voted, but only if I count a bunch of non-LotR figures that I only use for WotR. I have a bunch of Warhammer spiders and a few wolves I use in my moria army as well as a dragon, giant, more spiders and some giant eagles from D&D miniatures.

Oh, and a Warhammer Araknorok that is going to serve as a Mumak for my moria army as well.

I would like to see a picture of that. And I guess you would use rules similar to a mumakil.

I think i am around 100 somewhere.. not allowed to get anymore for now. But maybe once i get them all painted... Still got that uruk army to paint.
There are some models i certainly need to add to my collection! And i don't have a decent good army yet!

Most of mine are from BGIME. I also have a small metal gondor fiefdoms force, quite a few boxes of rohan infantry and cavalry, and about seven Gandalfs. In short, far more than I'll ever paint.

Oh, yeah. I forgot all about my Elf army. That's about another 100 there.



I'll post pictures when I finally get it built. I am saving it as a final reward for getting my Moria army painted. And yeah, in game it will just be a counts-as allied Mumak.

595 as a most recent count over a wide selection of armies. Most are painted. I'm at a buying freeze because the rest of life is starting to cost too much.
It's amazing how things around the house all break at the same time...

I'm in the 500-1000 range, but only about 200 miniatures away from the next bracket...

About 720. Just flipped thru my spreadsheets really quick and tried to total things up. I'm 100% sure everything I have is captured on this list but it probably covers most of it. I may have another couple sprue of warriors or some command blisters scattered around that I never entered in. About half to 2/3 is probably backlog.

I am not so long in the hobby - so i am still got lots to collect. I try to limit myself tough. I don't want to end up with heaps of figures and never paint them up. I don't got much money left to spend. But still doing it... My sister recently said she never saw me giving out so much money. Ah well Sauron should be in the mail soon. I ordered a moria display and Eowyn. There are some pieces i still want to add like Arwen mounted witouth Frodo, fellbeast,..
It's just addicting to buy new ones... (or mostly second handed ).
