We did just did the stock check in our GW, something interesting to note is that they didn't want us to stock check the blisters.

So.. there's a few possibilites:

No more blisters, or
All moving to online, or
They;re going to let metals run dry and then relaunch everything in the new resin stuff, or
They're going to say to the stores to simply known-loss all the metals, sell them off at GD or give them away as prizes in the future (like the changeover from lead to metal)

Yeah I'm concerned now. That is pretty unusual for Mealstrom to just completely remove items once they're sold out like that. Hmm... I guess I better make my move now to get the minis that I want.

Yup, I just asked them specifically about the Gondor Trebuchet and they said this:

"Sadly we are no longer able to carry Games Workshop metal miniature range,
Very sorry"

Wow, this is like the end of an era.

I guess two options would be:

-Conform to GW conformity, and passively switch over to resin, or
-Start a sort of black market thing and make more metal casts ourselves, and sell them. This will be pricey obviously.

The other thing (and this is just a pipe dream) is that GW might actually make plastic minis with more detail and more options than the same old one-piece plastic miniature :)

Presumably your native language is greek, and so you structure your sentences differently from sentences in English.
Sorry, I'm sure that I'd find typing in greek difficult too. :)

I just looked over at the GW site and investigated their latest release, the 'Tomb Kings'. At first I was relieved to see that this latest launch includes metal figures, exclusively characters it seems. So clearly, I thought, metal figures were still part of GW's plans. My relief soon passed when I noticed that the metal figures are mail order only. Dezartfox's second possibility seemed confirmed. But things get worse, when I clicked on the mail order only item I noticed that the shipping time was 3-4 WEEKS!

My opinion is that GW are now casting metals only to order, and will do so for the near future until, maybe, they redesign the figures for plastic or find a way of casting them in resin.

yep. looks like they're phasing blisters out of stores altogether and casting everything to order.

Well my only hope is that they still keep collector's edition metal models to order online and hopefully "The Hobbit" line would have this as well, but that is unlikely. Some models that are being sold for now over on GW has both plastic and metal sets. Like the rangers of Gondor and the Easterlings.

What would be great is that for "The Hobbit" they release both 'resin' & metal models for their heroes & whatever and have the metals be a 1 year limited edition. The only thing is that when you have the words "limited edition" usually that means the prices are blown up sky high, as if they're not blown up enough already as it is.

learning
of
the
Revolution(of us of course)
That emans if they dotn ehar us they will probably bring like a crisis at the game.
Hope you understanded.

Yeah Elros common! :-X How could you not understand the revolution, the uprising, taking it to the man! We must save metal miniatures! (even though most here would prefer to see it go so it seems...) And don't forget the signature: Learning Of The Revolution (LOTR). Of us of course 8)

Never say never"

A little bird told me that GW was no longer going to make metal units. Some Character models would be made. :?

Lorizael,

I may have chosen my words with imprecision, but along witht the new plastic sets GW are plugging on their website characters such as the Liche Priest,
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... od1190077a

The description of the model does not mention metal, but I assumed that the reference to SuperGlue meant that it was metalic.

Have I got it wrong? Are GW asking the customers to fork out £8.20 for plastic figures? Given that they now think it is okay to charge £25.50 for 10 plastic models, the Tomb Kings, I wont be surprised if the answer to my question is "yes".

Ah Ok. It sounded like you were saying there were new metal models as part of the launch. Which there weren't.
Yes GW still have the old metal models on the website though.
The shipping estimate seems very variable depending on what you look at: 24 hours for some, all the way up to 4 weeks for others. Tis odd!

GW charged £30 for 10 metal models so £25 for 10 plastic sounds good to me...

I really don't know half of what you're on about Ultragreek.

Never is a good word. Hopefully GW will never make metal models again. I long for a plastic future! :D
