you do not need every color. if you go to tomes of wisdom there is a article at painting where is shown how to mix all colors from primary colors. i use that sometimes if i do not have the right colors fore the model i'm painting. i hope this will help.

If you buy the sourcebook for the region you want it usually has colour guides. Also under Tomes of Wisdom you might find painting guides for the models you want to paint.

...or you could just be creative and make your own color schemes. Frankly, the people who do this are adding to the hobby. Don't be limited by the producers of the products. Look in the galleries, you will find much better examples than what you get on the boxes, anyway. Good luck!

It depends on what models you collect, of course. You don't have to paint them with the exact same colours as games workshop anyway.
