Greetings, Everyone.
I mentioned in another thread that I have been wanting to create an updated version of the Battle Company rules. Outside of the book-based scenarios, Battle Companies has always captured the best of Middle-earth, in my opinion. The Strategy Battle Game ruleset is just perfect for that type of small-scale, intense gaming. My buddies and I still talk about particular games and campaigns that we played with Battle Companies.
Given that GW has scaled back on new stuff for the SBG, I don't have much hope that they will ever update the rules, so I am going to try and do it for them! However, I know that this project will turn out much better if we can all, as a community, brainstorm and play-test this project together. Therefore, I am asking for anyone who would like to contribute to please join in.
The idea is to create an online, living rulebook that can be updated as GW releases new miniatures for the game. We can begin by updating the base ruleset and tables and in separate threads we can discuss the rules for the different factions. Additionally, I would like to develop some more scenarios because, as we all know, variety is the spice of life! I will be starting threads for these purposes over the next couple of days.
This thread can be used to brainstorm general ideas, and or discuss problems with the current version of Battle Companies.
